same though i might have some asian ancestry (most likely Mongolian though) it's really good. though i also do love songs that are in a more operah style in general (a good example would be certain songs from the band Nightwish or Xandria specifically songs like a Theater of dimensions or the greatest show on earth they are long songs that take a lot of inspiration from operah )

I showed yunjin’s opera to my great grandpa the other day and he seemed to rlly enjoy it! I told him that this game is slowly bringing back this dying arts because a lot of young ppl are interested from it and he seems quite happy^^

I’m not sure if things like this will ever make a proper comeback, but we might as well try and make them last as long as possible, hopefully for many years :)

You have to understand, she’s singing at that volume….UNAMPLIFIED. Or at least that would be traditional practice. These singers train for decades to be able to produce that magnitude of sound. “Singing for the back rows” as they say.

@@yukii5633 i think they meant the collab between hoyoverse and yunjin's singing va, which is a pretty famous singer in china. since the game is also pretty popular overseas, it brought attention to chinese opera from westerners that never heard of it.

call me crazy, but the costumes and the background itself were very beautiful and well made. I loved this performance, they deserve a clap.

We should all respect other ppls culture like we do with ours. Every culture has its own charm. And this one was breathtaking 💜✨️

I don’t have much knowledge about this kind of genre music but everytime I listen to this performance, I literally always always get goosebumps no fail then I tear up I don’t understand but this is beautiful both the story and how the singing tells the story :’)

You should’ve played genshin lantern rite to actually understand the song

So happy that mihoyo decided to add yunjin, I would’ve never found this genre if it weren’t for them. It’s so beautiful and i genuinely enjoy it, the costumes, the singing, the makeup, the dancing, and I can list so many more.

She really deserves this spotlight! She has a wonderful voice and beautiful motions to match it!

And she put her own interpretation into this too! The first being her using a lore accurate sword instead of the original spear. The second being her making the sad part where Shenhe finds an empty village much more muted only to then make the announcement of the "epilogue" much more triumphant than the original! I used to wonder why old people can watch the "same" plays over and over again, but now I'm beginning to understand.

I'm so happy people are becoming more interested in my culture 😁 For once everyone isn't mocking and turning Chinese songs into a meme for 'sounding funny'

I got interested to Chinese Opera because of the Memes, The Tom and Jerry Ching Cheng Hanji. Chinese opera is beautiful and deserves more attention

Honestly its a miracle how just one character can cause so many youths to be interested in chinese opera all the sudden Even me, a chinese who never really had any interest in chinese traditions before yunjin’s release, finding myself enjoying chinese opera and voluntarily listen to it

No more game can combine the tradition with the mordern style. Thank GI to the amazing music concert. I love Yunjin in game and Yunjin in live too

For me this is the best cutscene of the entire game so far. I got goosebumps with this performance

I don't know why, but even it is so different from what i am used to, it still gets me, and i like it a lot
