These days any person has the opportunity to follow the progress being made by mankind in space exploration. Thanks to numerous scientific investigations we have found out that the universe is unbelievably enormous and contains a great number of celestial objects.
However, in all this diversity there are only several hundred worlds that we know of which resemble our planet. In the Milky Way alone the number of exoplanets is supposedly over a trillion...

    I recently bought my first house and played all your videos while I painted the rooms and did some minor repair over the course of two months before fully moving in. Your videos are the best and are now forever part of my memory of my new home. I was born and raised in Hawaii but moved away. This video is so fitting for me to finally have made a comment with a Hawaiian name given to the super cluster. Thank you.

Nestor has 6 continents with 4 not touching its equator/4 LARGE land masses. 64% of Nestor's surface is liquid or frozen water. Their ancients' '6 Seas' & 4 oceans. The ancient Nestlings also observed their 'Sacred 6 Luminaires'/'6 Heavens'/'6 Classical Planets': 4 can cast shadows on Nestor/4 can be seen during the day (Sun & Moon + their Mercury & Venus). Besides Nestor, their solar system has 6 planets with 4 rocky or 4 gas/ice giants. Its two inferior planets orbit(64) at .6 & .4 AU and/or superior planets at 6 & 4 AU. Their LARGE mOOn has 4 primary phases of roughly 6 days (~6.4 days) each for a 25.5 day lunar cycle, thus 6-day weeks & 4 weeks in a 'moonth'. I've been so excited for James Webb for so long now and now that it's almost time for launch, I get kind of nervous. What this telescope may find, could change everything. Life will be discovered by the new telescope. For those of you wondering how a telescope can detect life, exoplanets are classified/identified by analyzing the chemical composition of the light rays that pierce through it's atmosphere. Light rays coming from the parent star as planet passes in front of it

    In so many science fiction books , films , and shows...writers have placed many inhabited worlds around particular known stars. For example... Marvel comics once said the character Yondu was from Alpha Centauri... Now we know Proxima Centauri has planets...and Alpha Centauri may also have worlds in orbit. I'd like test..a list of theorized worlds from science fiction...and see if any writers actually got it right....lol

I can't imagine the world that my great grandchildren is going to inherit. Over population no water no food no air. Sounds really perfect huh. If we don't stop countries like China and India or America as far as this goes from having children like breeding roaches there won't be any earth left for anyone. My hope is that the lord will come back and put a end to all this madness once and for all. He is and will destroy this earth and create a new heaven and earth for his people to live on for eternity. That will be the perfect world bud this world is nothing but a breeding ground for satanic creatures.

    Why do we continue to assume that the Goldilocks Zone of exo-planets have to be exactly like Earth's? There are so many factors that made life possible on earth, not just it being in the Sun's goldilocks zone. Other planets could very well have conducive environments to harbor life, regardless of its location to their Stars.

    Because that's what we know right now, and I emphasize "right now". We only have one sample of life, and that's on Earth. Science is always changing but what are they supposed to say? Saying that every single planet has an equal chance at hosting life? That's not true based on what we know. We need to narrow it down based on the information we have, but of course we should keep on learning.

    Nobody knows if other lifeforms on other planets exist. Because the galaxy is vast, there is very less chance of alien contact. Earth year may be insignificant compared to cosmic years which may be in millions or bilions of years . I think its time earth may start another time scale based on changes happening in our galaxy like a galactic year. There is a different sense of time on earth vs time in galactic scale. If other forms of life forms exist on other planets , we may see them sometime in the galactic time scale which is probably in millions or billions of years. This is a surmise.

    If they're advanced enough to get to us at all; they probably have some type of warp drive. Would make sense if you think about the consistent sightings showing how they can go from stop, to mach 5+ to stop again; they'd be moving space around them not themselves, so propulsion isn't required at all. All of this assuming aliens are ever or have ever been here.

    We arent closed off from the rest of the universe, also its not like a punishment "god" is doing because we haven't fulfilled his checklist. "You guys create wars for no reason.....I think ill put you in this section of the milky way away from any playmates". Lol The human race is slowly unlocking the universe god or no god. Also unfortunately even if most people did exactly those things you mentioned there will always be those few rich, psychotic, warmongering assholes who ruin it for everyone. (I'm a Veteran). Nice thoughts Ursula, I agree with all those things but your god idea keeping us from unlocking the universes secrets.. besides the fact our brains might not even be capable of ever understanding 1% of what's really going on in the universe. Who knows though maybe "god" is quarantineing us from everything else because we're more of a sickness than anything. Hahah just 2.43 am thoughts not trying to put you down or argue. Really enjoyed this, a really nice travel piece. Did want to mention that the assumption of one face tidal locking is not as certain as one might assume. Mercury for instance has a 3:2 spin orbit resonance combined with a high eccentricity (0.21) and an almost 0 orbital inclination and an average distance from the sun of .4 Au. Clearly without close up observation we would assume (quite rationally) the planet to be in a 1:1 resonance. This assumption is reasonable for most of the Kepler planets that are close in but is not likely to be certain. A watery planet in the Goldilocks zone of a red drawf with an orbital resonance like Mercury would be much more likely to hold life than if locked with one face towards its primary. When we are done with Mercury then we can look at Venus and its retrograde orbit - very likely to have been caused by some external force, but still it has been stable in that backwards orbit for a very long time . Venus has almost no eccentricity and very little inclination could lead to the suspicion that whatever impact caused its retrograde orbit was very long ago to have allowed the smoothing out of its other orbital characteristics. In short our calculations of the orbital characteristics of exoplanets seem to pay little respect to the one model we are sure of.

    tbf we can`t really study exoplanets orbits in detail since all we can see is their "shadows", right? (I'm just someone who likes space stuff, not someone that actually knows and understand astronomy, so correct me if I'm wrong).

  • @aldenconsolver3428

    @aldenconsolver3428

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@Luizfernando-dm2rf IF the planet is directly between the star and your telescope all you can see is the light coming through the planet's atmosphere. From that light with good equipment and a lot of skill you can often figure out what the atmosphere of that planet is composed of. If the planet is at 90 degrees to the line between the star and the earth then 1/2 the planet will be illuminated (think half-moon). We don't really have the equipment yet to distinguish surface features but it is theoretically possible and at the rate, telescopes are improving we may be able to distinguish large scale features pretty soon, maybe continents versus oceans if everything goes right. If we do see that then we have really found something neat :), if we detect oxygen in the atmosphere then that is likely to be another real earth-type planet. Being able to see a whole side of a planet around another star (like a full moon) is going to be a long ways off, I would guess maybe whatever telescope replaces James Webb may be working on that. And Luiz don't feel bad, when I was a young man we had no idea that we would be able to do this kind of thing, its really amazing. Before I retired I was a Planetary Scientist, and even working in that field I could not keep up with the neat stuff that the astronomers are doing. If you would like to learn more about space without having to bust your tail you might find a set of programs on youtube called Scishow Space to be fun and informational (I enjoy watching it myself, its real well done) - take care

    The channel states that it's in the united states, which I highly doubt. The way the channel responds to comments or when it posts one of their own, the composition of the sentences is just too damn formal, as if directly translated. The way the channel uses emotes such as placing " ) " instead of " :) " like every other "American" would do. The voice is most likely computer generated, directly translated from Russian.
