I have been watching you for a long time now and enjoy you and Jim. I am not the kind to comment but I did need to comment on this video. I really needed to hear what you were talking about not comparing yourself to others and do what you can everyday. My wonderful and amazing husband and I have been married for almost 29 years but he retired and we lived in a small town in Massachusetts but our dream was to move to NC mountains and we did and we bought our dream home but we are empty nesters our daughter is in Florida and our son is gone all week working on cell towers and is going to get in this opening his own business and he is building his home on our lot of land. But I am still cooking for 4 and it’s only the 2 of us and I have to adjust to a lot of those things. I took up junk journaling and I knit and crochet as well but lately I told my husband I just feel lost but thank goodness for his love and understanding and support but you just hit something today that just helped me so much and the Lord is in the center of our marriage and I feel very blessed. Thank you for your wisdom and you are a true inspiration to me and many others. God bless you both and I know Jim will find a job and you both and mom are in our prayers. Love hugs and blessings xoxo 💋

Tricia I know exactly what you are saying. Been there done that. Time is the only thing that made it easier for me. A positive attitude helped too. I do Jewelry Auctions on Friday night after our show Girls Night In 5:30 Eastern and some times I have late night Auctions on Mondays. Come join us! Even for chit chat. We'd love to have you. Hugs-Rebecca ❤

Audra Hollis Yes I do have one. Lol!!!!! Just an empty nester. At least I am not a pathetic person that comments on someone’s comment about adding “ periods”. That is someone ( you) that needs a life. Have a blessed day!

Audra Hollis That is so wonderful to here. I am blessed as well. I think that the first comment you made was really uncalled for. It is very petty. You want to keep going back and fourth bring. Have an amazing day. I know I will. I will keep you in my prayers as well because for you to comment on someone’s comment about using PERIODS is just sad. Again, have a blessed day. I am sure you will.

You have a very good attitude about life, we believe in the same ideals as you. We're retired, live in the high desert in a small town near beautiful Zion National Park. This is the first year (we are 70) that we are living by ourselves. Our home has always been opened to those who needed a temporary home until they got on their feet. I'm sure Jim will get a job soon.

So true! I become tired or bored with a project especially crochet or knitting projects if they aren't finished sooner than they are. I'll put them aside and then start another project.

Aww God bless you my friend. I really needed to hear what you had to say, you reminded me of my late mother saying "you are equal to everyone, you were made exactly the same way as the Queen and she drinks tea just like you, why do you think you're better or worse than her or anyone else? It doesn't matter whether we're prince or pauper God loves us just the same. 'God looks to our poor soul not our expensive sole'". I truly believe that today is the day God will show that he loves us anew. Struggling is not a bad thing it shows that the devil is beating on the door of our heart and God is guarding that door. People change as much as they really want to, my life experience shows it. I live by corinthians chapter 13 (the love chapter)

Words of wisdom ❤️. I’m the same way. I won’t start something that I can’t finish, no matter what it is...even if it’s a cleaning task. We are systematic people ❤️. Safe travels and best of luck to Jim. My hubby and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary in November. You are blessed to have each other 💓💓. Yes, in addition to forgiving and forgetting it’s all about boundaries. We just have to be careful not to be burned, but still be loving.

Pop, obviously, was a positive driving force in your thoughts on life. Believe most of us attempt to be content with our being but fall short @ times. We are human & must accept our frailness and move forward. No easy task. Keep moving on Jim as you are doing. It will come together. As a team, you and Jeri-Ann are unbeatable. Nothing wrong Jeri-Ann with doing an activity @ your own pace, own time etc. It's your task & happily you get to make your choices. Hope that Jim finds himself in his challenges emotionally. Amazing how much more I get from you then from some sermon. Believe part of it stems from your focus on the here and now. TY Jeri-Ann for reinforcing to me what our lives should include on a daily basis keeping in mind forgiveness, reconciliation, peace, joy & above all love!

You are so right! Being yourself and being content with what you can do and what you can't do is key. Jim will find what he wants when the time is right. The good news is that you are able to survive without his working. Many people are not able to survive without their paychecks. This time will help you appreciate even more what you do have and perhaps the time you both have together while he is unemployed will strengthen your marriage even more.

That’s because we don’t own a house, lol, mom does and we live with her and pay half of the bills but honestly the cost of living here is very low. You can rent and entire house for less than $700 a month. Insurance and food are low as well

I am older than you and find you have just a tad more wisdom than I do. I don't call many people friend because I have been burned more than once in the name of friendship. I am now leary of others now. I had a friend for almost 20 years that I saw her going the wrong path so I was blunt and told her well as you can guess she severed all communications with me. I in all honesty am blunt and don't sugar coat things for anyone. I tell this to those that want to befriend me so it doesn't take them by surprise. I also tell them that if they can't handle that type of personality they should walk not. All in all my past friendships has made me leary and blunt from the get go.

Comparing to others can be so bad. People have to realize You can't be me because I am me and you are you. A sister always compared her daughter to mine and now she's doing it with our grandsons (hers is 5 y.o. mine is almost 2). Everytime I see her, even before saying Hello, her first comment is her grandson knows his alphabets does mine? My response is mine is only 1 years old and I thank God everyday that he is healthy. I don't understand, it's as if she feels threatened. She has become a mean and bitter person finding faults with every thing and everyone. Please people, don't be like my sister.
