An ancient Jewish prayer - Mi'mekomcha by Rabbi Carlebach
ממקומך, הרב קרליבך - אנסמבל יאמה - מתוך קדושה לתפילת שחרית
One of the thrilling moments of our concert appears when Yonnie plays the shofar.
It's the only biblical instrument that is still in use exactly as it was back then in old times.
The shofar is an ancient Jewish liturgical instrument. A natural trumpet, made from a ram's horn.
This blast of biblical horn is believed by the Jewish faith to open up the gates of heaven.
__________________________________________________________
The Shofar is the Jewish calling voice. It was used in ancient Israel to announce the New Moon (Rosh Chodesh) and call people together.
we meet it in the bible during times of joy and war and in the temple. The Shofar is related to forgiveness and mercy month and it is blown in every Israeli community during Rosh Hashanah (New Year). The blasts of the shofar are wake-up calls. Rosh Hashanah is the time to shake out of our spiritual slumber, reconnect to our source, and recommit to our divine mission in this world. It is considered a mitzvah (commandment) to hear the shofar blown. Using the Shofar as a musical instrument is rare. This blast of biblical horn is believed by the Jewish faith to open up the gates of heaven.

The text sung is taken from the Kedusha, shacharit prayer for Shabbat and Holidays.
The text is being said silently together with the last sentence by the
congregation and sometimes sung out-loud with the chazzan
Mimkomcha malkeinu tophia,
vetimloch aleinu, timloch aleinu
ki mechakim anachnu lach.
Matai timloch timloch betzion,
becholl yom beyameinu,
becholl yom beyameinu, le’olam va’ed tishkon.
Titgadal vetitkadash
zohi yerushalayim ircha,
ledor vador ledor vador ule’netzach netzachim.
Ve’eineinu tire’na tire’na malchutecha,
cadavar ha’amur beshirei uzecha, beshirei uzecha,
v'al yedei David meshiach tzidkecha.
Mimkomcha malkeinu tofia
From your place, our King, may you appear
V’timloch aleinu, ki m’chakim anachnu lach.
And reign over us, for we are waiting for You.
Matai timloch b’tzion, b’karov, b’yameinu
When will you reign in Zion? Soon, in our days,
L’olam va’ed tishkon.
Forever may you dwell there.
Titkadal v’titkadash b’toch y’rushalayim ircha,
May You be exalted and sanctified within your city Jerusalem
L’dor vador ul’netzach n’tzachim.
Generation after generation, and for all eternity.
V’eineinu tirenah malchutecha,
May Your eyes see Your kingdom.
Kadavar ha’amur b’shirei uzecha.
As this matter is expressed in the songs of Your might.
ve'al yedey David, mashiach ztidkecha
And by David, the messiah of your justice

Shalom my kinsmen, I am a Christian living in Oklahoma. The first time I heard the mighty shofar was on a beat up old radio years ago. I was only half listening... until the ram's horn sounded. Chills ran up and down my spine and goose bumps raised across my body and I stood transfixed. This is the sound that all will hear at the return of our Messiah.

💜❤💖 much love from the USA!!! I just recently learned about Christians in Syria who still speak the Galilean Aramaic! I discovered this information in the first place because i was compelled by a strange occurrence... For some reason I woke myself up out of sleep, at the beginning of this year, speaking a foreign language to me, and I have distant Arab family, so I am somewhat familiar with how Arabic sounds, but only know like 15 words... I was shocked and I thought to myself woah that kinda sounds like a mix of Arabic and hebrew, but I was speaking it fluently! I think it was absolutely a supernatural event I experienced and it caused me to discover Yahshuah's language! Pehapse discovering this was the only reason this happened to me... ?... I'm not sure, but I thought I'd share. Yah bless! ... eee, I feel very nervous about sharing this... to be honest when it happened I was trembling and shaken to my core.

He shall come. Genisis 49:10 The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his. They didn’t realize what they were doing. They did the same to Jesus. The difference is Jesus was not simply a prophet l, he IS the son of God sent to be the final sacrifice for the sins of the world. Not just the Jews but now the WHOLE world can receive the gift of salvation and eternal life. Yashua fulfills every prophecy given concerning the messiah.

The real day is this coming weekend. Calculated with the Julias Calendar, Orthodox Resurrection Day always happens to fall on the week which Jewish Passover ends. The last supper took place on Passover, they celebrated by eating Lamb which is tradition, and then Jesus was crucified the next day. Passover ends this weekend so the actual true Resurrection day is probably next Tuesday then. Eh close enough, we... I wouldn't say celebrate... But do our rituals... Church Service, that's the word... On weekends to make things more convenient I suppose.

Regarding declaring something as beautiful... well, there are two directions: 1. beauty is located in the eye of the beholder - modern 2. beauty is measured by external features - classical (definite proportions or relations among parts, etc). For that we add - it's also a matter of feeling and context. Sometimes creating an art can evoke feelings that are not related to art work, but to its context. For example, if it is a Jewish prayer and the listener is an atheist and resists an expression of faith or religion or or unfortunately, is a racist and prejudiced, it will be difficult for him to enjoy the work itself. 🍃🌸🍃𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒎𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒄 🍃🌸🍃
