Shabbat Shalom. Thank you very much Rabbi for our enlightened discussion and having me as your guest. You are awesome! I hope and pray that our message of hope and unity can spread quicker than the doom and gloom we watch on TV. G-d bless you, your family, your team and your audience. I hope that all people who watch this discussion are inspired and ready to make a difference. Blessings. Hasan Imam (Ps I am not an Imam, my surname is Imam…I am just an ordinary dude). (Btw to the negative comments. I was not paid a dime or a shekel. This was our first meeting and unscripted. We decided it that way so that the conversation could flow naturally).

I SAW BIDEN ON TV SAY THAT. I WAS A BIG DEMONSTRATING PEACE ADVOCATE DURING THE VIETNAM WAR WHICH WAS FOR CHEAP OIL AND RUBBER. I AM ON ISRAEL'S SIDE ON THIS WAR. BUT THE GOAL ALL THINKING AND FEELING PEOPLE WILL AGREE TO SHOULD BE Peaceful Coexistence 😢. I will pray for all civilians.

Love our neighbours as we love ourselves, treat people how we would like to be treated, be humble, be respectful, strive for righteousness, learn from history, learn from our mistakes & the mistakes of others. When faced with evil, the choices are to ignore in silence or to take a stand and advocate peace. Honour the memory of those who gave their lives in the pursuit of peace, tolerance & freedom - don't let their sacrifice be in vain. Coexistence is godliness ❤🕊️☮️❤️

As a Muslim, I was sick in the stomach when I heard what Palestinians/Hamas did. I couldn’t sleep for days. I was crying out to all the Palestinian supporters ‘but this is wrong, this is against god, this is against the Quran, this should be condemned’ I was mourning and still mourning the lives of those Jewish people that were so mercilessly taken by the hands of those devils. I thought that people would unite from this horrific act, and I’m still shocked by these “organized” parades. I reached out to all my Jewish friends condemning this. I felt shame and embarrassment that even though I 10000% support Israel, I felt faint looking at the hate out there towards Jews. It makes me sick. If you are a Muslim be a true one. If you wish dearth to Jews remember that your book, Muslims, Allah only expresses Israel as Israel. The land of Israel, the children of Israel. Allah saved the Jews as Allah always will. We need to be brothers we need to respect Israel, and Israelites, and live in peace. Don’t support terrorists and think that’s your religion do you know who funds those terrorists?

Before finishing this video even, I will say something that really threw me off guard in a bad way: when the guest said he heard about the news of what happened on October 7th, his first reaction was "what will happen to the people of Gaza now?". Why exactly wasn't the initial sympathy towards the Jewish people who were butchered alive? I think this is a big problem that needs to be addressed. Why have Jewish people been dehumanized so much that it's so hard to find sympathy for us?

Good point, I should have clarified. I actually felt sick when I heard about the attacks, killings and kidnapping of Israeli civilians. It did affect me in the same way the 9/11 attacks in the US and 7/7 bombings in the UK affected me…sleepless nights. And when I heard about the Israeli families and babies burnt and decapitated…which I did try to verify…and I did…you can imagine what was going through my mind. The absolute depravity of the terrorists. One would not wish this on his enemies. I should have made that clear. Of course, I immediately knew what the impact would be on Palestinian civilians as casualty rates are higher because they are not protected. What I should have also mentioned is that I did make a video a few weeks ago where I called out the leaders in my community for not condemning Hamas and their terrorist acts they inflicted on Israelis.

Nevertheless, it is sad that so many innocent Gazans have died, isn't it. Perhaps if we could reach across the wall to experience each other's shared humanity and pain, we could start to build bridges and not walls. Places where people could speak as equals to share honestly their experiences and differing stories. But we would have to recognise the humanity of 'the other' first.

Shalom Rabbi, I thank you for my heart for this interview! You are going into a great path forward. I am from the holy land, and the atrocities that occur in my country are shocking and sad. I want you to know that the majority of people only want peace. Yet there is an agenda going on, so sad I haven’t slept well since it started. Both my family and friends are in the West Bank and the Israeli territories. We believe in intermarrying and we have been this way for centuries. Our civilians on both sides are not safe no matter where they are, my heart goes out to all. What people in the world don’t understand is Palestinians and Israelis work, and live together. FYI- the Israeli people have protested against BiBi for 50 weeks before this killing started. I pray everyday for all innocents back home. May we all live together in the promise land- Jews, Christian’s, and Muslims. In respect and love- the way we were in the past. May HaShem rest the souls of the innocents that have died since this started- all children of god. Todah Rabbi Simon

I appreciate your gentle and thoughtful response. You and the guest on the video seem to want to live in peace so I am wondering how you can explain the crowds of Palestinians who celebrate and hand out candies when Israelis are killed. Why crowds of Palestinians in Gaza were cheering and spitting on the dead body of Shani Louk when she was paraded in the back of a truck in Gaza. Regular Palestinians also crossed the border along with Hamas and participated in committing the atrocities including rape and burning. So while most Palestinians will not commit terror, it appears that they are happy and approve when others do. Am I wrong about this?

  • @sarasalem3280

    @sarasalem3280

    8 ай бұрын

@@peretzsucks Anytime! What I can tell you is what I know - through summarization. what I can tell you is in certain towns like Gaza-people live in a very unstable way, with the fact that it’s in an open air prison, they are not allowed out with out permit, they don’t have sanitary food or water, and every couple of years/months the IDF and Hamas have a tiff- that kills civilians because Gaza is so overpopulated and small. Then you have people that lose all their family and go psychologically unstable. Let’s just say no normal human being can see what happens and not see how bad it is. That’s in Gaza, now another example- in Jerusalem 20 years ago on Jaffa Street, there was an explosion at Sbarros Pizza. Although, when it happened, they killed 20 innocent people but don’t forget- Palestinians and Jewish Israelis work together and live together- I think 5 Arabs died and 15 jews. I am just telling you from being there and knowing. That is why I love the Holy Land and I will always go to visit but I choose not to live there. This is why peace is fully needed, no innocent people should die. I hope that helps clarify your question- either they went crazy because of the life circumstances of the occupation or they are paid to preform. The reason why I answer this way is because no Abrahamic religion instructs people to kill others or be violent - I know since I have Jewish, Christian, and Muslim Ancestry. Its not gods fault that humanity decided to hurt each other and kill each other- god sent guidebooks and then humanity weaponized them. Have a wonderful day! Warm Regards, Sara

I'm not Jewish but I love my Rabbi, Simon. I have been studying religions and cultural anthropology since my childhood in the 1970s. I could be considered multi-faith but really believe I'm praying to an omni-present God in this great energy field. My mother explained that many of our Christian relatives from the region were driven out or slaughtered. My great-grand parents escaped to North America in the 1890s while many, including a large Armenian population did not. We are figuring this out and will all live in harmony as we pray and create a harmonious world.

A bit surprised at the comments. I felt this interview was not satisfying but rather meh 🫤. The Rabbi is too polite and therefore was treading lightly with his questions. This interview would have perhaps been better had it allowed people to call in with their questions. Hassan appears to be a proper human being and there’s many beautiful Islamic people but it only take a small percentage to cause a great deal of damage. In business it takes only 20% to create what’s called the tipping point. It only takes 20% to make a difference and change the course of a company. Most western believers in Islam are attracted to and practice the peaceful principles of the Islamic faith. The desert Arabs are not always so peaceful, they tend to be more emotionally driven. The scriptures even describe Ishmael as a wild donkey of a man in Gen 16:12, meaning that Ishmael will not submit to a master. Donkeys do whatever they want. So even though the Quran has peaceful principles, there’s always a small percentage that’s violently radical. For example they participate in honor killings (when a female relative has disgraced the family), female genitalia mutilation (so female will not enjoy intimacy), and suicide bombing in a public place specifically targeted to kill as many Jews as possible. Hassan is very westernized so when asked about the possibility of changing the schools curriculum he clearly didn’t see a need because in the UK the Muslim schools don’t teach the children to hate Jews but in radical Islamic communities they do! So to me this interview was lukewarm at best.

Hatred shouldn’t be anywhere specially in the sons of Abraham (peace be upon him). God(Allah) is watching us. Don’t get the license of killing based on personal theories. I'm from Bosnia and I was a member of the Republic of BiH Army during the Bosnian war. Unfortunately, some Mujahideen somehow came to our country during the war to help us fight the Serb agresor and they did more harm to our cause (to protect our independence, remain a multi-religious country, which we had been for centuries, and continue living together - Bosniak (Muslim), Croatian (Catholic), and Serbs (Orthodox)), by committing terrible crimes. Now the side that was convicted of committing the Srebrenica genocide rightfully blames our side for having doing atrocities too. What a shame.

Hama's actions are condemned by every sensible liberal people whether Muslims or non Muslims but what about the military actions of Israeli Government against innocent Palestinian innocent people who are being indiscriminately targeted/bombed and their homes are being destroyed? Rabbi Simon! You are respectable with your positive thinking and your love for humanity is highly appreciated. Prophet Abraham isn't only your great father, but he is also great father of all Muslims. We, Muslims , have great respect and love for Abrahim and his children. Why don't you teach the leaders of Israel like hardliners Netanyahu to stop brutality being perpetrated against innocent people of Gaza and West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem! .

This conversation has melted me a bit. I believe we as a Jewish nation should be responsible and not fall into this endless war trap. Unfortunately the Palestinians are clearly not ready for this. Partially it’s our government’s fault by letting them spread hatred and thinking that big wall is the best solution. The long road is the shortest one. I will recruit to an IDF with these thoughts in mind. Thank you Imam Hasan for bringing a light to our world.

Please remember as you do your military service that Palestinians are not a monolith in their thinking and Palestinian is not synonymous with Hamas. When both sides focus on the beautiful future they want for their children instead the traumas of the past hearts can open to make way for a better future for all. When both sides want for each other what they want for themselves and act accordingly then this madness can finally be over.

I am Jewish and grew up in Muslim lands. I studied Islam, and studied the holy scriptures of the Quran, as well as Hadith. I can clearly say that the rules of warfare in the Quran are clearly stated and I assure you they are more than humane! There are verses in the Quran that fundamentalists juggle, namely, “Fight the infidels and beat them until they submit, and if they submit, then show mercy, and either show them the word of God, or let them pay a tax” refer to the time when Islam was being established and was attacked! Remember the Torah's instructions to conquer lands in which the children of Israel were commanded to kill the pagans?! Not very peaceful, right? There were many civilians there, children and women and old people! I would never say that The God of Jews in Torah is more merciful than the God of Koran! I also wanted to point out to you one interesting hadith which states that the end of the world will not come until Muslims and Jews fight and even stones and trees will call a Muslim and say "Oh a Muslim, a Jew is hiding behind me, come and kill him! Many schools and many Islamic scholars question the veracity of this hadith. After all, a hadith is a hadith, and the Quran is the Quran. I think Muslims should really defend their religion from fundamentalists, and educate their Islam followers the right and traditional path! There are a lot of misunderstandings between Muslims and Jews, and between Muslims themselves! I also think that it was a big mistake that Muslim scholars did not condemn the barbaric bestial attack and murder of Israeli civilians on October 7, knowing that the killers shouted Muslim religious slogans while killing and raping! Instead, Jews saw massive demonstrations around the world in defense of the Palestinians even though Israel had not even started the war! Imagine the people of Israel who, shocked by the murders of children and women, see the jubilant residents of Gaza, and the jubilant Muslims of Europe and the world, and see no condemnation. If Muslims had immediately figured out how to behave correctly, maybe everything would have gone differently. There is a huge great turmoil among Jews and Muslims, but the real problem is that there is a tremendous turmoil in Islam! Huge Fitnah! Two brothers, Jews and Arabs fight like huge enemies! Two religions that are the closest to each other! I was always living as a Jew, but i always felt that i kinda a Muslim, that's how similar our religions! All Muslims should talk to Israel so that Israel feels that Muslims around the world want to help Jews and Palestinians to make them get along together, and believe me, once Jews see it, they will do a lot of things to make it work! You have to understand, Jews feel unsafe and threatened in this fu**ed up world! Make Jews your friends and you will get the best neighbor and ally!!!! Low bow to Imam Hasan!

And I agree with you regarding how jews are feeling threatened and frightened.. they had enough trauma and that's why they are used by their governments . Its an old school method for governments to create and breed terrorists as scare crows to keep their people frightened . Then use frightened people to support every action that serves political and self interests. Already frightened people with several traumas , just add some religious referrals , words like promised land , 8th decade curse , amaliks etcetra to the mix and the result is support and acceptance to whatever they want to do as its is for the sake of people and under their approval.

Peaceful coexistence is the goal which is in the heart of all good Jews, Muslims and Christians. Vietnam was all about getting rubber and oil. The goal of the war with Hamas is peace, a really hard paradox but i think a lot of good people can indeed wrap their heads around this & continue to support and pray for Israel.

When I was three years old, me and my brother (4 years old) are in the garden and in that garden there is a hedge and growing in the hedge is Belladonna or Deadly Nightshade ....rhe berries are ripe (black). We dont know they are poisonous, we're toddlers. We are playing near the hedge when my brother says "eat some" I say "you eat them first" THEN came the adult male voice which first whispered 'tell him to eat them" and my brother demands of me "Eat them now' and I refused ..the adult voice speaks again loudly now to me and demands "eat them now as your brother commanded" .so in fear I ate, became seriously ill ...I remember the ambulance, the hospital, the operating room and my third birthday in the hospital THREE MONTHS LATER ...I had been in a coma for 2 months and was not expected to survive ....well HERE I AM, 61 years later. It's why I serve God ...I always did. SERVE GOD FOR PEACE

When people fear for their own lives, killed in most horendous ways, being beaten, jailed - Muslims have not came together so far to save their own. Majority of the 1-2 billion don't know Arab Language or understand what is written in their own religious books - only pieces of words or sentences and thniks others got it wrong. Yes I agress, the whole world need to bring more and more light and stop hiding the truth.
