A Jamaican Dance for every Genre by Orville Halls’ Dance Xpressionz, Reggae Month 2020

Музыка

During the 2020 Reggae Month, Reggae Wednesdays "Dancehall Caan Stall" in Emancipation Park, the patrons got a piece of history in Dance. Legendary dancer Orville Hall and his “Dance Xpressionz” showed the people the different dances per era and Jamaican Musical Genre. Unfortunately, we missed the Ska part. #dance #jamaica #dancehall #tutorial

Yes I'm surprised that a lot of people dont know that what you see them doing home in Jamaica djaying on the microphone or toasting or chatting that's what kool Herc who came to America in the late 1970 to the bronx was doing and he met up with some American dudes and they called it hip hop they added the American twist to it. I'm a reggae stage show afficionada and when we go there you have guys like dougie fresh giving you the history of hip hop which jamaican already knew that stuff was invented or started by jamaican we call it djaying or chatting on the microphone like the elders guy like sir Coxsone, dillinger nicodemus ''sister Nancy and her brother and the elders that have passed on.When they hold the microphone and start chatting it's amazing beautiful sound with the sound system backing them.
