A.I. and M.L. in mechanical engineering: Think Filter Show- Episode 2

Episode 2 of the Think Filter Show is an inspirational story of how a car manufacturing in the US implemented A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) and M.L. (Machine Learning) solutions in the mid-2000s to solve sudden compressor shutdown problems. The timeline of the video is as follows-
0:00 - 0:34 - Intro
0:34 - 01:21- Problems of untimely compressor failure faced by a car manufacturing company
1:22 - 02:15 - The real reason for untimely compressor failure
02:16 - 03:01 - A visionary mechanical engineer comes to the rescue
03:02 - 03:13- Trivia
03:14 - 05:36- Process of arriving at the root cause of the failure using ML and AI
05:37 - 06:09- The final outcome after implementation of the solution
06:10 - 07:09- A message for budding new mechanical engineers

many times, clients too demand industry 4.0 as a requirement but are not sure which area are they expecting....as in operational ,or failure proofing as in the case study presented...so in a way implementation of industry 4.0 is a wide subject and cannot havr a specific format...it all depends on the criticality of the data to the plant or the equipment. nicely explained with the case study. Thank you.

Hello Sir, I am mechanical design engineer working in automotive domain thinking to pursue this course but sometimes I think this is related to Computer science which will be beneficial to software engineer not mechanical engineer. I want feedback from you and one more thing shall I pursue this course?

But this can be done by a SCADA system with virtual instrumentation of labview which we have done early of 2000. So don’t hype with AI/ML.
