@RaggedsEdge yeah like their descent into water. Not sure what rules are but they looked like they did what they could on the level of the platform. So cool how they transferred the slower heavy cradle and leveraged that into higher velocity sling of the aircraft. I was so impressed

Not momentum transfer. Rig just reduced friction.

Nice ! He may have been able to squeeze another 4 meters out of that flight,, if he only had alerons, on that tail. The Danes have always been a fun loving nation, of wonderful people. I lived in Helsingor, Danmark and cherished the 2 years I was there. Carrying the Danish flag, with the resolve of their Viking ancestry, added all the more enjoyment while watching 👀 that short ! Viva Holger Danske ❤

What are the launch rules? Only a 4 man team can push? Could weighted bags be dropped over the edge of the platform to help pull the aircraft off the deck?

next time dive the get more speed, the pull up just enough to level out and be very close to the water to use "ground effect"... could have gone another 100 feet. Still it flew, really flew and that is a HUGE accomplishment. tow it behind a boat an let it gain speed and altitude and see how well it sails.. Blessings to all whi do.

If they would have only tilted the wings slightly, and and inverted v's towards the wing tips, this thing would have gotten so much further than the record hold, never seen such a smooth take off like that.

We have the same event here in Japan except the ones they engineer go flying to absolute hundreds of meters. It’s amazing

That was a hell of an idea for the take off ,using the motion of the spinning wheels as they pushed it .

To launch made it look so good it took off like butter.

Few more years and someone is gonnafly halfway across that whole body of water.

Should put a motor on that thing, 😁

Not only was it a well designed glider in its own rite, it was even given extra track with a slingshot
