Before I eliminated grains from my diet, the frozen dumpling section was my favorite. Now, it’s the vegetable section. I love pea sprouts!

Nailed it (and love that you stressed it wasn’t in order 😂) - they had a little section for bowls and spoons but wasn’t extensive, hope that’ll expand in the future!

Are the goods cheaper than See Woo?

Some of the instant noodles are priced at 4.99 quid which is kind of ridiculous considering that it's supposed to be a cheap option

Thank you, my love! So many frozen dumplings, so little freezer space haha. I usually go for Freshasia ones, Mei Sum or Royal China for dim sum but want to expand the choice! Hope you’re having a lovely start to your week!! 🥰♥️

Ahh I used to go to the 天天 near Canary Wharf, can’t wait to check out this one when I can. Yeah the supermarkets in Chinatown are probably cheaper but those queues aren’t fun haha.

Hahaha it felt like a theme park or a new holiday destination 😂 good thing it didn’t have two or three floors because, game over. Would never leave!

5:51 Dou miao (pea sprouts) are the best Chinese vegetable imo. I could eat a whole plate of it easily. Usually served with a garlic sauce in Cantonese restaurants. So good.

The white rabbit takes me back to my childhood. We used to get them every time my parents took us to an Asian supermarket here in Australia. I loved the rice paper wrapping on them! That supermarket looks great.

Hooray! What a pandatastic place with such pandalicious tasties on offer. At asian supermarkets I seek out the rice and noodle aisles, the tea aisle then onwards to the ice cream then off to the checkout, only to return moments later after realising I forgot the nori. 🐼🐼😋🤤

It looks great. It reminds me a little of a supermarket at Stanley Plaza in hong kong. 🍱🍜🍣🍤

That store was AMAZING! I could see myself dropping an easy $100+ and filling my freezer and cabinets in my apartment. The only oriental grocery store near me is about 45 minutes away and is pretty tiny. I am so jealous.

I love the older Asian supermarkets too because it’s really nostalgic and they paved the way for the community! Also enjoy this modern style of decor too!

Every product will have their ingredients and many have English ones too for the items for export (often a sticker). Only very obscure ones won't have an English version (in effect I think they'd be skirting on the law).

Hello, can you help please fo you know what is the name of huge amount of shops and restaurants i think near hounslow, sure is northern line close to this Asians food pavilion???

White rabbit is my favorite candy of all time but unfortunately I can’t have milk any more. It hurts me to see them whenever I go shopping.

Looks amazing. But. Very Wholefoods. Aldgate and Canary Wharf locations speak to the market they are focussing on. Prices inflated to a factor of 💯... there are independent Asian food shops in London that need the support.

Always important to continue supporting independent and local businesses and this isn’t to say that should be stopped ☺️ this is also a great spot to visit when the smaller stores don’t have certain things in stock 🤗

Yes, once covid restrictions are lifted re travel beyond localities, I can see it could be fun to visit. Just aware of ££ and so many people impacted. Often nearby options but have to research as don’t typically advertise. Great channel btw 😀

I mean, £2.49 for a bag of beansprouts is 57p in Loon Fung. Expensive rent eh

So jealous I have not been out of south west London for over a year. Altough we do have a gigantic H Mart and Korea Foods this one looks even cooler🤓

Unfortunately it isn’t. Prices seems to have gone up by quite a bit in fact.

Those prices would be considered very expensive if they were in US Dollars but they are in GBPs. Yowza! Is that a result of a weak GBP vs. Asian currencies? A consequence of Brexit?

not really I would say. UK prices for goods are generally more expensive than the US (well, as far as what my friends from the US have said since what I would think cheap in UK standard, they think it's expensive US wise). Products from the EU are usually cheap whilst Asian products as well as those from the US are really expensive (prolly due to the tax imposed by UK). Also, if you check UK to East Asian currencies (eg. jpy, yuan, krw), sterling pound has been doing ok the past months.

Typical! It opens now when I don't live in London any more....

Oriental is considered derogotary whereas Asian encompasses the whole continent of Asia.
