I really like your style of reviews because you give both civilian and military gear a fair testing and objectively talk about their pros and cons. And it's a big plus you are not one of those ultra-light people when it comes to gear.

Hey Randall! Love your channel, great work and very inspiring. I share your shirt frustration, will give this Solognac a try. I thought I'd also suggest the Wrangler All-Terrain Gear shirts (ATG), very comfortable for summer wear and they are more form fitting for dudes with our shape (I'm 6'2 and about 175 lbs and wear a medium, sleeves are perfect length). They are available on Amazon (at least where I am in Canada) and I find the cut to be very comfortable (I hope they don't make them in "chairsoft" sizes in the US). They also have a near identical pocket layout to the Solognac and come in a few colors. When I got one, my wife said I should get one in each color, because they fit amazing.

decathlon is indeed really good for it's price. What's even better is how they scale up: they got the basic product for around 10$ then dependingon what is added, the price goes up, like more warmth for winter, waterproof, better materials e.t.c. but its the same design overall so you can have the basic one for a bit and if you like it, get the better one according to your needs. But you can't beat those 5-10$ shirts and polo's for daily wear. Simply Amazing for their price. As for outdoor, they got a bit of everything. It's really my first shop when i need something and if i dont see something i like, i then go to other ones.

Here in Czech Republic I see two versions. Both are "520" The polyamide one looks exactly the same. The cotton one doesnt have the fasteners for sleeves and is rather brown. I like polyamide - nylon is what are ropes made of. It's hard to beat cotton in a summer sun tho

Had a look at those shirts since a long time ago, but after your review I decided to get one. Wore it last week during a 3 day metal detecting outing in the mountains, a great piece of gear indeed. Too bad the size is quite large width wise, kind of "big gut fit", but it works ok to evaporate the sweat and dry the material. Highly recommended and awsome shirt indeed!

I've been on a mission to find the perfect hot weather hiking shirt, and it's tough. I want lightweight, breathable, dual chest pockets, preferably with no pocket flap. I prefer nylon because it collects odor less than most polyester shirts. REI's Sahara shirts are good. They are also available in tall (i.e. longer sleeves and hem). The Columbia Silver Ridge Lite 2.0 shirt, though constructed of polyester, is good. Measured on a scale, it's probably the lightest in weight. The fabric is so thin that it probably won't stand up to abuse. Columbia's sizing runs very large, so size down. Mountain Hardwear's Canyon shirts fit nicely, but get funky so quickly... literally in just a few hours. All of the mentioned shirts are expensive at full retail price, so you should wait for a sale... except the Columbia which comes in so many colors that you can usually find one at about 50% off on amazon.
