Greetings friends, I’m Jim Blake, coming to you from Unity Village. Everyone who knows me even a little bit knows I love the Christmas season and all of it’s trappings and traditions. So it’s my joy to take a moment and wish you all a Merry Christmas and Feliz Navidad.
Every year now it seems to be increasingly challenging to recapture the magic and sparkle of Christmas in a world that appears both divided and uncertain. But my message for you this year is that it’s not either/or. We don’t have to choose between celebrating the meaning of Christmas and lamenting the state of the world. In fact, we can each be a bridge of hope.
At Christmas, we celebrate the divine light born in each of us. The same spiritual energy that filled Jesus is in us too. Our troubled world is calling us to live through our divine nature more and more. Hope fuels our generosity and compassion for the human family. Hope ignites the optimism that leads us to acts of kindness and love throughout the year.
This season, let us each model the spirit of the season by shining forth our inner light of love and hope for all to see, connecting the magic and tradition of the season with our prayer of peace for all people. In doing so we are not only creating hope for ourselves and those in our circles, but we are embodying the expression of divine love through our actions. This year, let hope be the shining star that opens your heart and guides you along your way.
