What a terrifying thing to have to go through. I would be traumatized taking someone's life, but one has to do whatever it takes to save the family in a situation like that. I've even considered learning firearm safety and training here in the US. We actually have a Jewish gun club in our city

As someone who has gone through firearm safety training, I can tell you it is NOT scary. October 7 is on a scale that was not discussed nor imagined in my class; but you will first and foremost learn how to NOT take a human life. Not unintentionally (by careless and stupid behavior) - and even if in a "situation"... you will learn that there are laws, and laws upon laws. And that a victim can be turned into a bad guy quickly. And that shooting at a person is the last, but very LAST, resort. Btw, the people I met at shooting ranges are some of the nicest people out there. Not a trigger-happy fool among them; and nobody wants to have, or give, extra holes in the body.

@@thekingsdaughter4233 thanks for the perspective. I don't generally like guns and am a big proponent of gun safety laws like background checks, waiting periods, etc, so knowing this puts my mind at ease about looking into something important that I wouldn't normally feel so comfortable with

@@tstieber Yeah because defending against babies is the onground and proven reality meanwhile most of the adult on adult part is fake anyway, since official numbers are down from 1200 to below 650 after several revisions and the biggest "eye-winess" wasn't even there according to official reports, and, IDK who defended against which adult attacker because own investigation from inside the occupation state states different. That's not me, that's the state's own media reports and official numbers
