Honestly, was so so happy with the show, yes there were changes, but they still embody the story as a whole. Walker, Leah, and Aryan and the entire cast play their roles beautifully. I can't wait for season two, I hope the episodes are longer, and we can see all the amazing actors grow with their roles. Can't believe the season is almost over.

This season was everything I could hope and ask for. I read the books since I was very little and i am enjoying it a lot. Its the best adaptation ever, Leah, Walker, Aryan, Dior and Charlie are literally perfect.

Ohhh so excited!! I love watching behind the scenes of things being created! 🔥 especially for such a cool show

The new show had so much potential it’s like such a huge disappointment, the series went down hill after the first few episodes especially considering how much I love the cast, and the first few episodes were like a dream , for the people saying this is for new fans, it is not, it’s not for the book readers either, it’s not a faithful adaptation, I’m not sure who this show is for? Because there is so many missing pieces of the show, it’s like they left out any moment that explained the plot, or built up to it they just “this is gonna happen, blah blah,” every episode, they fight the monster and repeat it, if I had never initially read the book I’m not sure I could follow along the series at all. For anyone who says “they didn’t have enough time” or that would just be “filler” most professionals know that the key to a good story is showing, not telling. They say that have to fly up to somewhere but don’t show where is. Also for 20 MILLION dollars per episode, they have enough Time to make the series cohesive.

This season, while not perfect (could've used more and longer episodes to fix the pacing and include more book content), was pretty great, and I cannot wait for season 2!

Honestly loved this show! Walker is one of my favourite actors since The Adam Project. I really hope they come out with Season 2

Walker, Leah and Aryan definitely did a great job! I think the director or who ever made the decision to leave “filler” out needs to be fired by Disney, the most recent episodes seem so rushed and are lacking

I'm going to be 100% honest - as a longtime fan of the books, I was very nervous about the show. I especially can't watch tv for long periods of time as I tend to get bored easily. This show is absolutely fantastic. Not only can I watch it all the way through, but I'm disappointed when the episode is over and I have to wait another week to see the next one. I definitely hope to see a 2nd season!

Disney, I can't wait to see this but please please just renew for season 2 already!!! Don't make the mistakes of Netflix and cancel incredible art like this. While your at it, just renew for all 5 seasons thanks

I think it speaks to an inner dissatisfaction when someone gets so annoyed about other people enjoying something. I’m extremely disappointed in the director/ editors because it seems like they left out key moments (not even from the book) but from the show itself, you can’t even tell when they teleport because they don’t show it, they don’t even explain how they got to the underworld, their just there. Another instance is Annabeth says she needs to fly up somewhere but they don’t show “where” she needs to go.

I think everyone is afraid to honestly critique the show because we all want it to keep going even if this first season is not meeting expectations (my own opinion). They have changed a lot, but my biggest issue is with how it's filmed. The pacing is strange. The fade to black transitions are off-putting. The episodes feel like extended additions of recaps/teasers and not full-fledged episodes. I just listened to the audio book version of the Lightning Thief because it had been many years since I read it, and it is just so fun, light-hearted, and enjoyable--balanced with some nice dramatic moments that feel earned and are more effective because the serious moments are far outnumbered by fun/exciting moments. Everyone has brought up their frustrations with the trio knowing all the dangers/risks of a situation and while it may technically make sense for them to know a lot of the threats because they have studied greek mythology extensively, etc., it begs the question of why keep the scene in the show at all, because as new viewers and readers of the books, the scenes are boring. Boring for book readers because they knew which "greek monster/threat" is being presented along with the trio (yawn), and for new viewers because while they may not immediately know the threat, the trio is about to just tell them through boring exposition instead of letting the surprise play out. I think a different solution that could have been tried is to completely set up new monsters/threats that have not been explored in an equally exciting way as portrayed in the books. The Haephestaus scene sort of tried this but it replaced what originally happened with a rather boring substitute (sitting in a chair). Medusa could have been replaced with a completely different monster which would have made some people mad, certainly, but if they would have preserved the suspense, mystery and payoff of the original scene in the book. I feel like there were many other options to convey the activities at the Lotus Hotel. I would have picked a different song that was popular in the early 2000s/2010s because that would have at least teased the stopped-time aspect of the scene. They really just needed one scene of the trio getting distracted and having fun. I have seen cast interviews with the main trio that fully encapsulate the great chemistry they have together when they are allowed to have fun and laugh! So yes, everyone wants another season because each book is so interesting and unique that the overall series could easily overcome the shortcomings of a less than stellar first season so everyone is really afraid to talk about their true criticisms becuase it seems so hard for any show to make it past a couple of seasons these days. I get it. I want the show to go on, and I want them to listen to our suggestions and work on the pacing, try and find some creative ways to entertain both new viewers and old readers without sacrificing the spirit of the source material and let the main cast shine by letting them have fun!

I am still holding out for a renewal, and that some of our issues can be addressed, but even if it is, I don't know if it will be worth waiting 2 years for, which I feel like is the norm for these types of shows these days. Oh well, we will see! @@miraculousnews3874

Isn't the budget 20 million per episode?🤨. I was shocked too why the CGI scene seems less than stellar if the budget was so high and it always cuts short like they do not want to show it too much. I hope the production for the next season will be much better than this season as i want this show to continue all the way to The Last Olympians and not cancelled as the show can be so much more

mean i saw the movies it’s okay. read the books its the best! and this show? its good! The casts too! I understand why some of the episodes are short or nothing happened much because u can’t expect every episode has fighting scenes or whatever. Its the first season the first book we are getting to a world building. If im gonna rank the books the 2nd one sea of monsters is in my 5th place. Like in a book series there is always much better than the 1st or 2nd book so if they are gonna give us the season 2 it’s still gonna be good whether there is nothing much fight scenes or what it will get better the story and all. And disney please just do all the season for the 5 books. The kids are getting older 😅 okay so we want season 2,3,4 and 5

This season was everything wrong with an adaptation. Exposition after exposition after exposition after changed plot point for no reason. The story from the books is why I fell in love with the series

This video title is wrong i think they meant to write a boring journey.this show is soulless the characters have no chemistry with each(when Luke call Percy and annabeth an old married it feels like it came out of nowhere because the show doesn't even even make them feel like friends) when something interesting is about to happen it didn't or cut short.the tone of the show is wrong(it's too serious). it's not the kids fault because i at least know walker can act i seen him a few stuff the other two were okay i guess.there is not sense of tension or adventure and too much tell don't show

Disney, im saying this as a big fan of the books and someone who genuinly wants this series to turn out good: season 1 was a mess, please improve the writing. Even amateurs know "show, dont tell" so why do you keep TELLING us things?? especially things irrelevant to this season! And why are you erasing any sort of tension from all scenes??? there is no up and down whatsoever If the changes in the show had been made to improve the stories, i wouldnt mind but the changes havent improved it whatsoever ... Especially because?? everything is being SO sanitized? removing tension is already an issue but removing entire sections like the whole thing with Gabe?? The pacing for the entire season is insanely bad as well. im so disappointed in s1, because it COULDVE been SO GOOD. Hoping that for s2 it improves massively. I liked the actors of our trio a lot, so good job on the casting for the kids - i also think the other campers were very well cast. Dont love the god castings so far but maybe that will improve as the seasons get released.

I am glad at least jk rowling was commited to having her movie characters resemble what they looked like in her books. Rick i have been a fan of yours for close to 2 decades, having read the lightning thief in early 2006 as a 7 going on 8 years old and the rest of your greek and roman books. Unfortunately you have lost your way, caring too much about woke media than about your characters and selecting the perfect people for the characters your original fans grew up on and imagined.
