Id still choose a hellcat redeye over a hellcat. why? 1. Stronger Internals 2. Stronger Pistons and Double fuel pump, makes it easier to get e85 installed. 3. Car value will skyrocket over 40% more than the regular hellcat. 4. Engine is straight out of the demon platform, 5. The engine is capable to redline to 6500RPM so you’ll be able to hear the whine way louder and deeper as you mash through every gear in that platform. 6. Last but least Axles and Driveshaft are 20% stronger than the previous regular hellcat widebody.

Knockout! I got a 2022 Charger Hellcat with 3k miles! I barely drive it and it is a blast! I went with the standard Hellcat widebody because I felt it would be better on gas and last longer and get better reliability long term than the red eye because it doesn’t have the two fuel pumps and doesn’t run as hard! I plan on keeping her stock as well!

There is an argument financial wise. Like the redeye will hold it’s money better than a regular hellcat.

......and I'll go down some more and say that a Scat Pack has plenty of power too and you don't need a Hellcat model at all. But if you mod it, don't add forced induction. The lag from it will only slow you down. Stay as naturally aspirated as possible.

You need a redeye to beat the shelby gt500. And the supercharger sound is louder in the redeye's

If you're not going to modify just get the Hellcat. Don't waste your money. If you want to modify then the Redeye makes sense as it has stronger engine internals and stronger axles and drive shafts. The Redeye also has dual fuel pumps so if you run E85 all you have to do is run a piggy back pump. A non Redeye will need a triple pump setup which cost around 2500-3000$.

@@ghostrt1608 yes. Ment the Redeye uses higher flow pumps than the hellcat. And some say they don't use a third pump with E85 and big power but I would be careful with that.

A scatpack with 485 hp is honestly more than enough in any practical application. On a regular street and even on a race track, you don’t get use out of 700+ hp. Any turn of significance or alteration in traffic limits the usability of high horsepower.

Welcome to the internal horsepower gauge. I remember being 20 and getting a T/A with a Z block 400 and it scared me and couldn’t imagine wanting more. Fast forward 6 months and I was thinking of mods. This is the case for every thing quick even bikes. Got a 600 and thought the same thing then eventually an 800 and 1000, it never ends. We adapt to speed and power quickly and what scares us becomes more mundane as our experience and skills evolve. The hellcat is just the peak of your internal horsepower gauge at this moment.

There power chiller is different than the cool down mode. It runs the a/c into the intercooler for a colder charge. There are a lot of other differences others have mentioned. Having had a 2017 HC and currently with a 22 Redeye I will agree that 98% of people wouldn’t be able to handle a narrow body HC without the electronic aids, let alone a redeye (myself included in that 98%)

Great video Knockout and very true. With less than 10K a hellcat can reach 1000hp with boltons and live without any issues.

I love the Hellcats, but have an SRT 392 manual Challenger. According to my performance pages, trying to keep an eye on the HP and torque gauge, I’ve never used more than about 385hp. So I don’t need more than 485 apparently. But I’m old so lol…

I’d like a Redeye cause I plan to keep it (in stock form) for a very long time and not drive it all that often. For daily driving I’m looking at a manual 392 Challenger or Camaro SS.

I mean thats always the case. Even when people buy v6 versions of cars only to gut them and take the money saved from not getting the big v8 versions, to build a racing motor for the same or less. Its more so value of the car for what it is, and for people who just want to leave the lot with the "best from the dealership" plateform. Some people dont care for the sourcing of parts and paying a shop to install parts. They just want to leave and feel like i have the best unless going against someone who sources the parts and builds the car or have it built.

The same can be said about a scat versus a regular Hellcat. Redeye is a no brainer over a Hellcat because it's a Demon in sheep's clothing. It's really simple, if you want a fast car, start with a fast car.Redeye, bigger blower 2.7, better cooling system as well.Redeye has better axles, better drive shaft, 309 gears. It also have parts from the demon like inner chiller, and motor,. Inside that redeye is better wrist pins,and a few more things. If the guy is going to mod it like he says, it's best to start with the faster car which is the redeye.I get it, yeah you can buy a hellcat and make it faster, but what happens when a redeye adds a pulley? The redeye wins again.

They are very similar. The red eye can top at a higher top speed. But low speed acceleration they are the same.

Facts there is nowhere besides the strip u going to hit 200mph so extra hp is a waste , unless u racing and making money.

Just talked to my coworker about this fact the other(I work at night) he confirmed to me 400-450 is indeed pretty solid FOR A DAILY, he mentioned how he USED to drag his, built 03-06 Shelby 500 back in the day which he DID build with 1000 whp. When he crashed it he realized he wanted less power and to just enjoy it, he rebuilt the motor put it in a 2nd 03 Shelby and it now has 600-650 hp. The baby can still "ghost from a coast."

The redeye is simply pound for pound the best model in the charger/challenger lineup. People go crazy when the see it a redeye, mine has the 3.09 gear option on it that’s the same gear that’s in the demon. When it’s all over the redeye is going to be the most sought after model

I owned a 2018 narrow body hellcat charger now a tinted mid deleted 2021 redeye charger and the car is the sum of its parts, it's not the power as much as it is the package. Redeye all day.

I just got a Challenger REDEYE ‘22 Model and also purchased the STAGE 2 kit which brought my HP up to a whopping 885HP! You can tell the difference on the street! STAGE KITS aren’t out for the ‘23 models yet TBD🏎️🤙🏾MOPAR FOR LIFE✌🏾

The Redeye has stronger internals and is 60% different from the hellcat motor. Can you make Redeye power out of a regular cat? Sure, but it’s not gonna be reliable, it’s stupid to think you’re gonna run a upper pulley and e85 and not ruin your supercharger bearings. All hellcats are 717 hp, Dodge just dynoed at different rpm’s, just like all Redeyes are 807.

You know what's funny I'm 55 years old I'm from generation x I've owned a lot of vehicles in my life I had a 79 trans Am with a 6.6 220 horsepower 320 ft lb of 220 horsepower 320 ft lb of torque that being said I have a 2016 Challenger 3.6 l with 305 horsepower in my personal opinion people are spoiled. I bought a 99 trans Am brand new with t-tops and I paid around 25k V8 with 200 HP. I believe cars and trucks are way overpriced anymore they're making it where you have to have a six-figure income to afford a vehicle. I got pulled over on the highway highway patrol said I was doing 92 but I know I wasn't I went to court I haven't had a ticket in 18 years but honestly I'm telling you they target these cars no matter as long as it's a challenger or a charger they didn't want to hear nothing about it they didn't care that I haven't had any tickets in 18 years they just want the money so I couldn't get out of it
