listen to kiko's album called "universo inverso" there's some serious shit going on in that album, lots of bossa nova, latim america sound/vibe, jazz, fusion, etc especialy the song called "sambe de elisa", beuatiful harmony and melody

I grew up in Alaska. These kind of chords made me want to leave home and explore the world.

I played the bossa nova like Kiko says...Bam! new gear appeared under my Christmas tree. It really works.

You teach guitar in such a simple way that even those of us who don't play any instrument can understand it

Caetano e Djavan são MPB. Bossa Nova é outro ritmo dentre os vários no Brasil. Exemplos de Bossa Nova "Tom Jobim, Toquinho".

Great lesson 😃 You should do The girl from Ipanema as a playthrough. Maybe a lite chord demo. A lot of fancy chords in that one and a bossa nova standard.

The Girl From Ipanema has been my favorite song, since hearing it in the 60s. Learning bass, Bossa Nova is my favorite style. Blue Bossa, The Girl.., and Black Orpheus just make me glad I'm playing. Kiko ~ Thanks for your videos, they are so enjoyable!

I’m dying here! 😂😂😂 I started playing guitar at age 51 last year. I have played other instruments, but my partner has never been around when I have learned a new instrument. And yes, was he in for a LOUD and anoyingly REPETETIVE soundscape at home. So, I kind of got that I might need a secret weapon to ease him out of the idea that I wouldn’t get another guitar (I have an acoustic and a semiacoustic, of course I’m gonna need another guitar!) So I started thinking about guitarmusic that he likes, and to tell you the truth it’s hard to find since guitar is not his favourite instrument. But then in a moment of divine grace my brain said ”Jobim”. That was a few months ago, and now he does not complain. When he tried telling me that if I bought another guitar I would have to keep it ”in your room!” (My god, what are we? Teenagers?”) Well he had it coming since he collects antiques and had a ten year phase bying sofas (yes, sofas, we have eight rooms in this house (and two kitchens) and we have no less than 6 sofas. A sofa in every room. And If I had not out my foot down I swear he would have put on in the bathroom. 😂😂😂 So stumbling over this video I have been laughing (or more like snickering to myself) for 30 minutes now. Thanks for sharing your knowledge of the bossa. I love it!
