The richest country with a low-class insurance system.

Its not health insurance if it doesn't insure health. its a pre negotiated scam where Americans pay more than others with a greater demand in some cases and should clearly be less. You may call underinsured.
And people said healthcare for all doesn't work. BS....we need it!!!!

America has most advanced medical technology with most underdeveloped healthcare system.
We need universal health care, its 2020. Decrease military spending and invest in health care.

It's amazing to me that the cancer research institute gets $6 Billion dollars, which only a part goes to research for cures, but military spending gets $700 Billion!! because war is more important right?

Sadly even after 4 years after the pandemic, the US still won't learn.
THIS COUNTRY'S MEDICAL INDUSTRY IS OBSCENE... DR FEES, LAB FEES, TECH DIAGNOSTIC FEES, BIG PHARMA MARK UPS, INSURANCE PREMIUMS AND DEDUCTIBLES, ETC... IT'S SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY BARBARIC.
The real answer is Medicare for all.
Same on people with full time benefits job, low wages & government assistance; on which insurance covers the minimum & still loose housing to pay their bills. Just becoming another homeless family, so sad we are ok with this.
Our health care system and insurance system is so broken. It is ridiculous to have insurance and you still can't afford the care you need like my husband when he needed heart surgery.
That is me right there. I am in medical bankruptcy also and I have always had medical insurance.

Declaring bankruptcy for owing $5k? Bro… that was his first mistake. Never ever just jump into bankruptcy. That is always a last resort option.

I didn't understand. Why was declaring bankruptcy early wrong ??
@mclaine33

@@nightking8490 $5k is small enough that with a job you can pay it off. Even with a crappy job like pizza delivery, you can eventually pay it off with monthly payments.
Wise Federal Governments invest heavily in their citizens first which includes Universal Healthcare, free advanced degrees(up to PhD), careered salaries with Benefits, vacation, and etc. Only unwise Federal Governments don't wise in their citizens first.

I spent 4 hours in the emergency room, had one CT scan and they gave me one antibiotic,, it cost me $6,000. That's 25% of what I take home in a year.
Tell me how great America is...
health care insurance is a rip off..i have worked in home care for the same company for 12 years full time....the insurance they off those like me in the field is drastically different than the insurance they offer those that work internal like the office... for individual in the office $40 a week for me in the field taking care of a client/patient 8hours a day..$122 a week..that is what is is going to cost me to get insurance from my employer just because i work in the field home care and not the office..

i have worked for this same company for 12 f...n years and this is what they are offering me....many of those who work in the office have not worked that long for the company and they only pay $40 a week for a individual healthcare plan...VERY VERY DISTURBING...my husband passed away last year i was covered under his plan...been without insurance an i need to get some...but this is what my employer is offereing me $122 week for individual plan because i work in the field..

Healthcare system is broken here!
The USA needs to help us more
That is so mest up
The US healthcare insurance industry needs reform and regulation.
Just as the founding fathers intended
Utterly disgusting
Many hospitals have financial assistance programs. We went to the emergency room during my wife's pregnancy and she was billed 2k. It was all forgiven after applying for financial assistance. Sometimes these stories jump the gun in order to have a story instead of looking at the entire story and see how things really end up at the end. The hospital even included the financial assistance application with the bill.

The US has nearly 200 billion in medical debt. Nearly 40% of all debt in collections is from healthcare. Even with assistance this healthcare systems crushes the lower and middle class
Lesson here get in touch with Kaiser Health News and local officials if you get medical bills you cannot pay and do not suffer in silence.
We're primed to look at revolution, as an act of serf defense.
USA should not have to no-one can help being sick terrible so lucky to NHS in England
Affordable Care Act would not cover anywhere near this bill and that’s a fact
Thats the USA the 3. World Country in Health Insurance
It's what real down to earth average people have been saying. That's why I didnt get insurance and didn't like the "mandate".

Um I have the same problem but nobody cares. Lucky him he has the news
I'm a medical doctor in Croatia (EU) and I had to stop going to the movies also. Not because of time, but because I have no money. My pay is $1200 a month. This is because the tax is so high for people like me to pay for "free health care". So welcome to my life.
