To me it feels like the nomad's and forgeton children are connected in some way mainly due to the fact that the nomad's where living in an eternal ice storm until the goat reached enlightenment but that could just possibly be because they were on the mountain top

For starters, the nomads are supposed to be goats, while the dwellers were supposed to be human children (but are now spirits, of course.) and the “eternal snow” you’re talking about is most likely just the climate on the mountain like you said it was. Also, it was more of an ice storm rather than snow storm when it swept through the village rather than snow, although there is some snow around Vanessa’s manor. Just overall feel the nomads don’t have any connection with the children’s story, or with subcon forest at all imo.

Oh wow, that's why Mustache Girl was so set on 'justice' it's because there was none. I also like the little detail on how she literally took a token from the Mafia Boss, wearing it as a reminder that she swore to defeat them (at least he's goop in a jar now)

Still she took it a bit to far in some cases. Not with the mafia she can blend them up all she wants ill help even. Everyone else is pretty clean. Except snatcher but I mean considering what the dude has been through. He needs a hug more than punishment.

To me the saddest one was the forgotten children, this all wouldn't have happened if Vanessa had the dignity to listen to snatcher. Even worse before the tragic deaths, the children were so nice to her. It really is horrific seeing a simple mistake lead to a mass chain of multiple children dying

Reading her diary she was already pretty crazy even before seeing the woman with snatcher. He very likely wouldn't have liked being her husband. Who knows what would have befallen the kingdom.

@@eyesandhands1986 Well looking at ingame evidence It does seem that DJ Grooves and The Conductor were inspired by another Movie award then the anuell bird movie award's. In DJ Grooves room in the final stage you can find a poster were the topnew's are that a 41 Year streak has been ended. This is the award 42 that DJ Grooves won. Considering that when hat kid comes into play DJ Grooves is back on the losing streak so these two must have been fighting for these award's for around 50 year's. Assuming they have human ages and work condition's they must have started with the movie Production around 20 year's so this concluded: The Conductor and DJ Grooves are around 70 year's old. (best Old geezer's in every game ever)

I knew the dwellers were originally the villagers frozen to death by Vanessa during her rampage,but the SUBCONITES were Dwellers who signed a contract with Snatcher to get their bodies and voices back?! The Captains Storybook: Tearjerker, literally makes his lines in the final chapter so sad. I wasn't upset like that in a while. The Hero's Storybook: Understandable, and I feel empathy for her. I can only hope she one day gets her home back. The Groovy Underdog's Storybook: Also understandable, it explains why he's been desperate on his terrible losing streak. The Forgotten Children's Storybook: It scares me to think that the dwellers and minions are basically the same people... Queen Vanessa and The Snatcher were once good people... The Nomads' Storybook: A nice breath of fresh air... the nomads are charming little things, almost always making me smile with their lovely accent and cheerful personality. I hope one day, Hat Kid, Bow Kid, The Conductor, the Crows, the Owls (plus Owl Band), The Badge Seller, and even Cooking Cat. Maybe the Seals? I had theories through the game, and since Bow Kid showed up, I felt there was a connection with her, and most of the narrative Dialogue. My reason is, sometimes the narrative dialogue speaks more humanly, sometimes mentioning Hat Kids emotions. "Now you feel just the normal amount of empty!" When getting your soul back from the Snatcher. "You aren't crying... are you?" When fleeing from the encounter with Mustache Girl. And like, 100% of the funny dialogue when examining your posters in Dead Bird Studio Basement. Hilarous. They seem more, real and organic rather than robotic and regularly narrated. Get what I mean?

about Hat Kid's personality? ikr? if you read the diary entries, you'll find that she's sassier than she already is in game, what with her few voice lines. I hope people see more of that. And I wish Bow Kid had a proper personality too now... instead of just a P2 with the same voice acting as Hat...

@@silenceissomewhere That Rumbi Storybook made me happy. Plus, it showed the direct feelings of Hat Kid during her experiences in each Chapter. First one left her feeling angry and upset, second one left her happy, despite the fact that she was backstabbed, almost literally, and we finally got to see what she looked like without her soul. The Moon Penguins' story and the Dwellers' made me the saddest.

I mean characters like The Conductor and The Snatcher can’t be classified as heroes, villains, or even antiheroes. They are just people. The finale makes it clear that you are standing behind killers with little to no regard for others’ safety, but they still have a heart to them. They have killed people for justified reason (Snatcher is the prince and the Queen is staying in her home so she has basically no authority, making him the rightful ruler) and still care about other people. The Conductor has the decency to put his grandkids in childcare before going to the bar, and Snatcher shows many times that he does not advocate others do harm to those he cares about, like how he doesn’t let you use hats or the umbrella in Vanessa’s manor, even after he chained him in the basement and killed him with her icey tears.

The forgotten children really shows Snatcher really isn't Heartless (Vanessa definitely is Heartless) he gave all the people who were frozen by Vanessa during the start of her fit of rage a body. And during the main game Snatcher steals mail to give it to said people to make them feel special

Honestly snacher may be a "bad guy" but if you look into his story it is quite sad one mishap changes his love and his relation ship cause queen be Bashit crazy and snacher after they were frozen he gave them life again and was like a father figure to them during the credits scene you can see snacher reading a book to the minions like a father or parent.

Lost at sea: The Walrus captain had a friend growing up, who taught him a lot about boats and sailing. Later he got a degree, but he didn't get to go on the same boat as his seal friend, instead ending up with the seal pups. One day he was thinking about him and his friend, when he receives a letter that his Friend had passed from sinking, and he became a cigar addict as well as very depressed. *SAD* The Hero (obviously): Mustache girl had a happy life before the Mafia arrived, she at first greeted them with delight. But they mistreated the locals, and proceeded to make it their own. Mustache girl, obviously angry, swore to her life to bring justice and to intervene in Mafia activities, though they just laugh at her, and she stole a token as a symbol for her hate on the Cooks. *VERY SAD* Groove Underdog: DJ Grooves presented a movie that literally got rotten tomatoes, his workers notice it, and being loyal, took the fire and protected him as he fled from the angry crowd. He thanked them afterwards, being forever grateful they are there for him. *SAD BUT WHOLESOME* The Forgotten Children: The forest dwellers were happy, and loved their lives. Until queen Vanessa took her 'curse' of evil, and froze pretty much the whole town, along with the children who became spirits. They either stay as spirits, go into the fruit of the Subcon, or sign a contract from the Snatcher in desperateness. They posses the puppets, giving them life and a voice once again. But they forever serve the Snatcher, doomed to an eternity of serving. *EXTREMELY SAD* The Nomads: The Nomads were peaceful mountain dwellers who lived in an eternal blizzard, soon a goat turns into a constellation and brings warmth to the mountain range, The Nomads and Goats both help eachother built a society, and travel system that gives them access to the surrounding mountains as they are just stuck there otherwise. They begin building structures, caring for the birds (at least what i think), and erecting the twilight bell. *VERY WHOLESOME, I LOVE THE NOMADS, THEY'RE NEVER MAD (SEinFIeLd thEmE)*

The Stories would explain why DJ Grooves looses his temper even a bit more then the Conductor in his boss encounter AND helped making Subcon Forest about ten times more morbid if that wasn´t the case already you know... the place where there is literally a hanging carcass dangling from a tree top near the swamp But strangely it is this underneath-the-skin morbidness that drew to this game in the first place, I guess Indie Games rock man

Years later, Wally was dreaming of him and Seely sailing together happily. But a Seal gave Wally a letter that said that Seely's ship sunk. This depressed him, leading to now. My opinion on the snatcher has intantaniously skyrocketed

the nomads is the only actual happy one

i just noticed the subconite watching grooves movie is happy. OH GOD THE BIRDS CRYING

the events of each of the storybooks (except at sea) are because of the area's vanilla game storybook. the hero happens because Mafia wanted a place to stay, resulting in them finding Mustache Town the directors only came at cinematic warfare because they ended up sharing a studio, and Conductor is very obviously much more well received than DJ Grooves the forgotten children become the dwellers only because of the queen freezing the town, and the minions only exist because of the former and Snatcher, who also only exists in this form because Vanessa flipped out the nomads were curious in the enlightenment the goats were searching for, and so they found residence on the mountain, set up a village and made the locations the time pieces end up in the game

Poor grooves and the captain at least grooves got supporters to help him with his movies and life

I’m assuming if there’s going to be a next DLC, the next book is gonna be about Hat Kid. Like if there’s an explanation how she got into outer space from home

GhostGamr I know this is 4 months old but the closest you can get about hat kid is “one last journey”. It doesn’t actually explain anything about how hat kid got lost but rather about that vacuum in the hub and how it interacted with her in the events of the game.

in the beginning of the game, when you look at the big screen it shows a picture of a crash landing and a picture of her home with her in the middle. with a bit of creativity I put together a little story. so basically hat kid's family lived on a space ship and one day they crashed. they managed to fix it and get back to space but before they left she got lost. they just decided to go on without her and left. she was left to get her own ship that wasn't as fast as theirs and start the slow journey home.

AHiT community logic: A Penguin who was incredibly nice and is the only reason you work at Dead Bird Studio: Bad guy A "bird" who constantly swears and yells at you, and uses you to make his movies, and give you next to no credit for being in the movie: Good Guy

Hat in Time chapters: Generally Happy with regular parkour and upbeat story/music. Hat in Time Story Books: Real tragedies or absolute graceful events.

Now actually that i think about the captains lines in the final chapter thats really sad.

These books make you have a completely different outlook on the game

a hat in time has so many stories that will make you cry

HAH! and of course the Snatcher minion is the one who tries to illegally record the movie in the cinema, boy these Storybooks are ingenious ways to tell characters stories I just love how this game, while not so serious on the surface has like a complex network of relationships between it´s quirky characters

I love the Story books ! Even tho they Are Very sad...The captain He had a very close friend And He wished to sail together one day, but He found that He did die, Now He became a smoker And very sad, And when you play the arctic Cruise And the ship Is sinking He doesnt even want you to help him :,(.....mustache girl She was happy And innocent girl then She got beat up And had to slave the Mafia... And She had to sleep in a Cave :( ......Dj Grooves very touching Story when i saw DJ Grooves cry i Felt So sad about it ... then the Penguins helped him And they became like a little unstopable Family :).....The forgoten children....it makes me sad they were just happy kids but they got Frozen by Queen Vannesa cause of problems with her prince (snatcher), it was just a little Mistake She trought He gave the flowers to her... She Felt heartbroken ...the prince (snatcher) wanted to explain but She didnt let him And jailed him until He became the dark snatcher... Thats why He even doesnt let you use your umbrella And hats in Queen Vannesa's manner, He doesnt want you to Hurt Her, sounds very Sweet :,).... The normads very warm hearting Story c:

mustache girl is actualy nice. wow. (about to explain entire ending) so.. when you landed here. she saw that you could be the one to help her defeat the maftia. so when you refused to help. she got mad. sure there gone. but she could think more are out there. and the final boss with the mafia being denied on the cutscene. is also showing this. she just wanted to get rid of bad guys. and what you did made her think you were aswel. also why she made a castle. and everything like that. to test people to see if there good or bad. but she couldnt have the power to do it. so she needed the time pieces. and because she has more then you. she propobly found out how to make them.

The nomads story makes you feel kinda bad for basically destroying their home

Sander Hockey Queen Vanessa was abscessed with snatcher (the prince) she even says it in the pages you can find in her room during the manor quest. Vanessa was really angry because she thought snatcher (her prince) cheated on her with the flower girl so she locked him up in her dungeon so he would stay with her forever but he turned into what he is now and escaped.

Melissa Koop actually the Prince was hung by Queen Vanessa and his soul became corrupted and that’s how Snatcher was formed.

I don't why but i felt like crying especially for the forgotten children
