A Harvest for the Family | Permaculture Vegetable Garden
I'm visiting my two sons and their partners and a basket of home produce makes a lovely gift and is so enjoyable to share. In today's video we wander around the garden to gather a few veg to fill the baskets and why not a bunch of flowers to go with it!!
If you enjoy my content consider a donation. It will help me diversify my plantings in the food forest and through out my gardens. Thank you!! Link below.

@@huttonsvalleypermaculture mostly bits and bobs in temporary raised beds until I understand the horrific winds, climate and the stealthy creatures who are loving my plantings 🤣 discovered this morning it is slaters eating the silks on my sweet corn. Heaps of bush tomatoes and zucchini. But seem to have a heap of wasps, ladybirds, dragonflies and a few native bees around. So much life, unlike the city. Am loving it. Seems we may manage one apple on the apple tree, fair considering its so small I should have taken it off 🤷♀️

@deborahlee8135 oh yes lots to learn in the early days but pleased you’re getting some harvests! Hopefully some more birds will move in soon, like they did here, and help control those little pests!

Hi hello Lynda what a beautiful garden you got there, fantastic achievement, your kids must be thrille with such a gift, a full veg basket wonderful, ,over here in France it's still freezing we are in the middle of winter, but I sowed my aubergine, chilli and pepper in door already so when the hot weather come , they will be ready in time to get transplant into the veg garden , watching you seriously boost me a great deal , I can't wait to get started again, Lynda your video's are very enjoyable and you have a way to explain what you do with simplicity it's humble , merci infiniment pour votre partage, ❤❤.

Hi Marie I have a friend living in France and he showed me pictures of the snow in his garden recently! Keep those little seedlings warm and hopefully they’ll have a head start when the weather warms up- always nice to get things going early! So pleased you enjoyed the video. My garden brings me joy but so too does the sharing of it with such lovely people as yourself 😊
Fabulous harvest Linda🌱 It sure is zucchini time here too🤣 Love this time of the year! xx Cathi xx 😘

There's something about homegrown potatoes that makes them pretty special!
I'm always in awe at not only how productive you are in your garden but also your many filming angles. I'm curious do you do that single handedly as well? We live on 9 acres in a rural area of Auckland. Our climate is not so different from yours, so your posts are super helpful. Many thanks for the inspiration, Linda.

Hi Natalie and thank you! Yes when I’m filming I’m always mindful of the story and keeping people engaged. Many different angles helps this a lot. So yes I’m jumping around moving the camera then back again for the next shot. While it does add time to whatever activity I’m doing I think the different perspective the varied shots give helps people understand better what’s going on (especially if I’m trying to teach a specific point - maybe not so much with the harvesting). So pleased you are finding the videos helpful - that’s exactly why I enjoy making them and putting in the extra time needed! Enjoy your beautiful 9 acres and thanks so much for your comment 😊
