I liked Sam better on StarGate Sg1, when she was blowing up stuff, solving problems only she could solve, shooting bad guys. Being commander of her own ship didn't suit Sam, she basically was doing nothing.

Thersa UhSir, great video. Sam and Jack, the relationship that we all wanted, but in reality, was never going to happen(apart from the alternate rea;lity episode's), but, for me, the one relationship that we could have had, would have been, Daniel and Janet(Fraiser). Daniel wasn't in the military, so no issues there, it would have given Micheal Shanks character more depth and development, as well as Teryl Rothery, who played Janet and would have given Cassandra a father figure, what do you think?

I always loved Janet. I bawled my eyes out after Heroes. I never really got attached to Daniel though. He was just "okay" for me. But I do agree that putting them together would have been a very interesting thing.

@@TheresaUhSir I think that everyone loved Janet, she was very underused during the early seasons, then, just as we were getting to know her a little better, discovering that she actually had a life outside of the base, and that she wasn't this woman who was always dressed in the white coat and spent every waking moment in the infirmary, they killed her off. What really got me about her death, is that it was meaningless. She was treated porly in both parts, in part one, we have the reporter in a clumsy attempt at flirting with her, poor Janet, is that the best they could do? Then, if that wasn't bad enough, in part two, she just gets sent through the gate to be assassinated, if you were hoping that the episode was a Janet episode, the tough luck, we hardly see her. She was a beloved character and by all accounts , a beloved member of the cast, she deserved so much better.

Actually it did happen. See end of "Threads" in season 8. It was hinted there and even more at the end of Moebius 2 (last eps of 8th season)

I can't understand why these two never became involved. Just saying.

Well, the reason they never got involved was due to the fraternization policy which prohibits realationships with personel in the chain of command. I beleive that the US airforce, who gave so much access, advice and support to the makers of the show, insisted, or asked for this. We got too see Sam and Jack together in alternate realities, in episodes like, There but for the Grace of God and Point of View. In those episodes, Sam and Jack were engaged in the former, and married in the latter, because in those realities, Sam wasn't in the military. The episode, Point of View was particularly touching with Sam, having lost her husband to the Goua'ld coming through the mirror and meeting Jack, but not her Jack. It would have been so easy for tw writers to have gone down the comedy route, with his Sam getting to kiss him, with Jack thinking it was the alternate Sam, but thankfully we got a beautiful, touching love story.

In the season four episode, Divide and Conquer, after being subjected to a Tok'ra mind probe, Sam and Jack confess their true feelings for each other, and both agree that what they have said must remain private. This begs the question, what is the issue? After all, they are still going to have these feelings, and up until that point and beyond, it has not compromised their proffessional relationship.

If it's not too much trouble, could you please give the names of the show/episodes that you used for the non-SG-1 clips? I already know which SG-1 clips you used since I watched it but not the ones from other Stargate shows. Thanks.

@@TheresaUhSir thanks for replying. I don't have any way to watch SGU, only Atlantis, so I won't be able to watch those scenes, oh well. Although I'm confused, I just finished season 8 of SG-1 and I'm not clear on what happened to Jack. I assume he doesn't retire?

@@TheresaUhSir yeah, I'm honestly very confused because they haven't explained at all what happens to him in season 9 so far but from what I gather reading online, some are saying he goes to start a new job in Washington (or is that in the Stargate spinoff shows, not SG-1?) and some are saying he retired. I hate that they didn't put in a clear explanation of what happened to him in season 9, I get that RDA left because of his daughter but still, it wouldn't have killed them to be clear what happened to his character. I'm not enjoying the last two seasons but then I only started watching for RDA. I will probably finish it but I hate what they did, they should've just wrapped up the show, put Jack/Sam together and then done a new spinoff with Ben Browder with a new cast instead of this. Sorry to go on, forgive my ramblings. :)

@@ilurvemv oh I forgot that. There was an SG1 ep where they talked about Jack in Washington. There was a flurry of chatter on the Gateworld S/J thread about Sam's sheepish grin. No specifics is typical of how the show handled everything Sam/Jack...ambiguous. Just enough to keep the shippers but not enough to push away the antishippers. I don't think you are rambling. I like talking about Sam/Jack. The thread at Gateworld is still active. Have you seen it?
