Love this live version if this song. I totally missed it on the album but after hearing it live, it's now one of my all time fave songs of theirs. Plus they looked to be really enjoying performing it live which enhances the performance no end... Love it!

I think they were trying to be a little rockier at that time. Even Morten declared in Argentina that they had influence from The Doors (!). Although I enjoy the spontaneity and the distension that they show, I feel a certain imposture. I think the best of the band happens when, flowing in its own nature, Morten releases himself. Musically always perfect and tuned!

@Hany M.Gamal he said years ago in the 00s he does tours on "auto-pilot." He forgets lyrics sometimes and now mimes parts of songs (the high note in take on me, if you don't believe search take on me mexico 2022 and you'll see there's a flub with the backing track being out of sync)

Magne and Pål were originally in a band that played more 60’s style rock and Morten was in a Blues band. To me, when they go this route, they sound more genuine. When they are all really getting into it, Morten is adding extra sounds, that is genuine to me ❤

@@nickcarroll5034 Morten only used a backing track while he was recovering from both COVID and laryngitis simultaneously. When he is feeling well, he can still hit all the same high notes as he did in the 1980s; despite that he’ll turn 64 in September, he won’t consider doing anything other than to sing every note live during a-ha’s concerts unless he’s recently had an illness that prevents him from singing to the level which *he* demands of himself.

David Z perhaps did something to the studio version of this song that...wasn't quite right. Live it's much better.

what happened to them, are they drunk? or is it just the lack of identity they claim they had around the time of their hiatus
