A Guide to Your Car's Fluids

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Whether you drive a car, a truck, an SUV or a van - and whether it runs on gas, diesel or electricity - all vehicles have one thing in common: They all rely on fluids - lots of fluids, and you have to make sure they don't run low. Here's how.

    In reality, Brake fluid should never need " topping up" between services. It doesn't evaporate ( unless your brakes are severely overheating ) and the only other way it disappears is through leakage.

    Plus never fill the master cylinder completely full you want some room in there for expansion when you get new brakes

    This video is great, very informative and straight to the point. I’m starting to look into this stuff myself so I can do basic maintenance on my car because I’m sick of taking it to the dealership or mechanic and they say they’ve topped up my fluids and then I find out 2 weeks later I’m out of washer fluid and I’ve barely used it.

    Does this video apply to all vehicles?? He said for antifreeze - 50/50 water and antifreeze

  • @mrgreen7551

    @mrgreen7551

    yes, 50/50 should apply to almost all vehicles, most of the time you can buy gallon jugs of premixed coolant and also concentrate that you need to mix yourself. Hope this helps :)

    Very informative thank you. I have a question. How do you know if your radiator needs fluid? Is that just fed from the coolant?

  • @mrgreen7551

    @mrgreen7551

    Жыл бұрын

    you don't need to fill up your radiator separately, if the coolant reservoir is full, that means the whole cooling system is getting coolant pumped through it. Hope this helps :)

    trying to be a bad ass speaker you screwed it for beginners, its as if youre writing a novel or something and trying to show writer charisma..when you try to do something for beginners you go 1 2 3, you dont talk about Transmission Oil in the same fkng sentence you were talking about Brake Oil in one full speech dash, if it wasn't for the images I got lost just listening, also you don't need to make much detailing, we're here to know the type of fluids and then we can check your or other's full videos about each, i really got lost man. so what now is there 5 or 6 , 7 or 8 types, i'm not sure.
