A GUIDE to CONNECTIONS at Mexico City's Benito Juarez International Airport (MEX) (Aeromexico - T2)

Hello everyone and welcome to a new video!
First of all, I would like to apologise for not uploading this video last week. I had some other work to do and didn't manage to finish it on time.
Now, having finished with all the takeoff and landing videos, as well as with all the tripreports from my trip to Mexico, it is time to start with some extra content. Today's upload is the first of the special videos from my trip to Mexico, and features a guide to the connection process at Mexico City's Benito Juarez International Airport.
The video is based on my experience connecting at MEX's Terminal 2 with Aeromexico, which I assume is what most of the cases are, but still, if you are connecting with any of the other Mexican carriers in T1, the process should be pretty similar.
That said, I hope you find this video useful. I will continue uploading videos like this one for the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned!
On to the next one!

This was exactly the information I was looking for to determine if a tight connection time was logistically possible with the terminal layout, thank you!!

Try to have enough time between flights, I would say 2 hrs at least to be safe, when the Cdmx Airport is busy, workers move very slow at the check point

I'm flying to Guatemala with Aeromexico with a connection in Mexico City this Friday. I'm traveling from San Antonio, Texas to Guatemala City with a connection in Mexico City. Going to see my Grandma on my mother's side that lives in Guatemala for her 91st birthday. Her birthday is January 1st.

hello and thanks for the video very helpful! We will be traveling from Juarez, Mexico airport to Mexico city airport. Is that considered a domestic flight? If it is I will not have to go through those long lines?

@@rubenpanchito4223 it was easy. We crossed the border from El Paso into Juarez since we live in El Paso. Once we get to Juarez, we had to stop to get our permission document to be in Mexico. You just show them your passport and fill out the permission card you are given there. They even help you fill it out. After that we just got a taxi to the Juarez airport.

Quick question . I have a domestic connection flight , in mexico with aero Mexico . Do I need to collect my luggage when arriving at the first stop or do I just go directly to my connecting flight ?

  • @flyingaroundtheworldytb

I don’t know where you are arriving from. If you arrive from abroad, you’ll have to clear immigration and customs. If you arrive from elsewhere in Mexico, you just walk to your gate. In neither of the cases you have to collect your luggage. If the itinerary is with the same airline, they’ll drop it off to your final destination.
