This is a condensed version of a workshop given as part of "Evidence Week in Parliament", an annual event organised by the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (POST) and Sense about Science. The aim was to bring together researchers, MPs and constituents to promote transparent and sound use of evidence in policymaking. The talk is targeted at parliamentary staff, with the aim to empower and provide them with the right skills to scrutinise and understand evidence and have the confidence to ask the right questions of data.

You're welcome! I hope it helped!
Thank you for sharing this. I have tried using a newer model and it refused to give a short bio. It sounds to more accurate and less prone to hallucinations than the previous one. There are also a lot of plugins now for citing, or accessing web, and I wonder what do you think about such improvements?

You're welcome! 😊 ChatGPT got enough attention that there's going a tons of improvements both in the short and long term. It's a fine balance between allowing it to generate content freely, and refusing to do it to avoid hallucinations. Personally, I'll take everything that it does with a pinch of salt. But I'd like if I say that I'm not using it pretty much daily! From coding to emails, it helps a lot!
This viedo is cool

I know right! 😎
Thank you for this extensive guide. I haven't used any AIs yet, but I am very curious about them for assisting me with my amateur Python coding. I have found an AI that does this specifically called 'StarCoder' and I was wondering if you have any experience with this AI?

Hi! I don't! But I think ChatGPT will be more than enough to get you started to be honest! It knows Python very well!
It's a very interesting content!! But I was focused also in your amazing English pronunciation, where did you learn? In particular I love your intonation when you speak

Aww thank you so much! I'm Italian originally, and moved to London 11+ years ago. The thing that helped me the most was studying phonetic, as that made such a big difference!

@@AlanZucconi Thank you so much for replying me, your advice is very interesting, can you recommend me some resources to start? something concrete, not just shadowing or videos on yt unlinked each other, in particular about the intonation (pronunciation as well) thank you in advance

@@gvpdip I did study that in school, so I don't have any resource to suggest unfortunately! What really helped me what learning about IPA, as the vowels in Italian are not the same in English!
I'm watching you without knowing English😅😅😅
