Awesome breakdown of the all the teams, I feel K-pop stans get the wrong idea what AKB48 is and ignores because of "too many members". I've been a long time fans since around 2019, and I seen nothing but growth I think exposed from Produce 48 and Izone greatly helped exposed them to Kpop audience. I consider this a big win not just for AKB, but all of Jpop. I'm so happy Jpop have finally decided to show their content on KZread I remember it was hard to find Johnny's group. I only wish best for these girls I think allowing Hiichan as center was the best move. Their single was a step up from last year in production and overall catchiness I genuinely hope this marks a new more global era.

@LUNARIS while I have come across toxic stans that crap on Jpop I've also met some that enjoy the music. I just want people to check the music it's much easier than it's ever been so there's no excuse that they can't listen. It does make me sad some close minded fans won't take the time to listen hopefully more people will.

@LUNARIS Believe I have met some ignorant stans who crap on Jpop over their "cute" styles, but I met some that are open about it, they just don't know what group to stan. I just tell them it depends of what your taste are. I've listened to AKB and Hello Project for a few years so I'm familiar, but I also enjoy most of Johnny's groups and Exile. The best part about Jpop its so diverse there a group for everyone. I always recommend them Faky is have time I guarantee they will not be disappointed ;). I'll subscribe since I like your content

@LUNARIS if you're ever interested in fanfiction I've written one myself it's called an "Idol's Journey" following an OC AKB member and her journey to become the next "ace". All the other familiar AKB members are featured and they all have distinct personalities. I mixed my knowledge of the group and the bit anime spics to make the story funny. That's okay of you're familiar with fanfiction. It's basically fanmande stories of existing works. I read so many Kpop ones so I'm familiar with works. I also published some anime ones if you're interested. I've been trying to take advantage of summer break before my semester begins

Additional info: AKB48 started to decline their massive popularity after their Absolute Ace's Acchan officially graduated. The same thing is happening with Nogizaka46 after Maiyan (Mai Shiraishi) graduated and with Keyakizaka46 after Techi (Yurina Hirate) withdrew. The latter two are both the Absolute Ace of each group that I mentioned. (They were the only groups who were million-sellers) The thing w/ Absolute Ace was that they're the #1 Most popular member in the eyes of the general public and the one with the massive fanbase within the group so when they left, the majority of their supporters also stop supporting the group. It's sad but that keeps happening in SakamichiAKB. Note: As far as I remember, only Nao Kosaka of Hinatazaka46 is the remaining Absolute Ace in SakamichiAKB groups. Their current popularity is steadily rising.

i'd argue that akb48's decline didnt officially begin until yuko graduated but yeah ur right. it sucks how much these HUGE groups rely on one or two members and how much that affects the fanbase/gp interest

as a long time wota of AKB48, for new fans, i would like to give some advise. even though solo stanning is common in 48G, i recommend of you getting more oshimen, because you will never know how long your oshi will stay in the group/announce her graduation. i say this for the good of your heart. and even though its good to know about OG AKB members, please look up at current members as well, get many as many oshimens as you want! just because they aren't the OG, doesnt mean they arent talented. They deserved some spotlights and they will be the one who brings AKB to the world again.

Hi, thx so much for making this guide!! I've been their fan since jan 2020 when i saw heavy rotation and everyday kachusha. Their great upbeat songs gave me motivation to start learning japanese lol One bit that confused me is: Not all AKB songs are singles such as First Rabbit (most fav song), kimi ga suki dakara, yobisute fantasy, ima para para, etc So guess they're songs from each group?? I also like this upbeat song: Kimi to boku no kankei.. is that an AKB song?? I think its a song created by tomochin and achan?? Glad I found your channel!!

Ahhh no wonder me and ma lil bro (both born in early 2000s) refer yukirin as "creepy girl" cus we saw that she was with old akb members in old MV, but she is still active in new MV's. So she is creeping both of us lol I was 6 when she joined AKB and now im 22 Wow 16 yrs already girl!! Hopefully she can stay in AKB forever till group is disbanded to witness the journey of AKB48

actually you dont need to learn the members, is kind of a gradual process to learn the members names, people treat being an akb48 fan like its a hard task when it’s not. learn the ones you want and if someone catches your eye try to learn about to them
