6:50 solid take. I think that KT box is a good deal to split since the broodcoven alone is upwards of $60 iirc

Yeah basically it's $70 for broodcoven, ~$50 for the cadians, and the upgrade sprue is like $15. Overall it's nuts on value for newer players

Thank you for your content, I've been studying up on the GSC so I can create my first lists. I'm a BA player and have chosen GSC as my second army, I'm going to buy everything and then build and paint all at once as a big project. So far I've bought two old combat patrols and two biosanctic battleforce boxes. All I have to buy is 4 of the new combat patrols and the needed HQ's and I'm all set. I've learned a lot from your content so I know how I'll make my lists

I have to recommend third party models for this army. Wargames atlantic you get 30 prisoners in suits for $35 and you can easily put neophyte shotguns on them (which are cultists firearms) to get double the models out of the neophtye box. The acolyte box comes with many spare arms as well so I've converted neophyte bodies into acolytes (really doesn't look much different) then third party bodies for the neophytes.

I think Biosanctic Broodsurge is a good place to start because it is pretty straightforward to play and can be cheap. Buy Combat Patrols and use the spare parts from the Metamorphs to convert characters and Aberrants using other bodies. Bloodreavers for Aberrants, Crypt Ghouls for Purestrains and almost any infantry bodies for the rest. Xenocreed Congregation and Brood Brothers Auxilia can also be pretty straightforward to play. They would cost a lot more money to get started with though.

I own 30 abberants and psg already I wish the battleforce was a good buy for me 2 more trucks would be nice, but at least my cult collection is in a place where i dont have much i could expand with

Awesome vid, the list I've been assembling has 120 neophytes attached with 3 primus and 3 Benefictus, which I think could be great with Xenocreed Congregation considering the reroll avenge strat and rerolls to cult ambush enhancement. I started the army in pursuit of bald tide, what are your thoughts on such a list?

I personally have been running a 120 neophyte list in index for the past couple months and it was great. In Pariah Nexus though it does make me worry because you can give up guaranteed fixed secondary with cull the horde and asssassinate so it's gonna be a bit harder to make work now I think. But I'm sure it'll still be fun!

what do you think on the locus joining an iconward and mining weapon acolytes?

Yeah it can totally work. I do like them with metas a bit more, especially in Xenocreed.

hey dude....i am loving the channel. i been playing competitive for 1,5 years. mostly custodes and some WE and i want to play something totally different. GSC is on the top of the armies i will pick from. i am just struggling to figure out whats the best detachment to start with to learn the army and be competitive with? can u provide some guidance, now that the book is out, the missions changed and the slate was released. cheers. maybe important to point out that i play mostly in europe on WTC terrain.

Honestly I think coming from your background Broodsurge might be the most familiar but I would recommend Outlander Claw tbh. It'll be a different playstyle but I think it has some serious power on WTC terrain

I like him as just a sneaky lone op that I can get a bit aggressive with at time if I don't need him to sit on a point. I think if you're bringing him in your lists try him out in different roles to see how he works best for you

Certainly! Picking any models up after market will always be a good way to save money and yeah I should of made note of it in the video
