Despite all the bad things Jenny did, I did feel bad for her, no one deserves to be in an abusive relationship, I’m glad she was able to get away from her abusive husband. I wish Jay had married Lizzy in the end or at least have them fall for each other, he seemed nice and that scene of them on the kitchen floor together, talking about love and food, I think they would’ve made a cute couple, also I felt bad for Lizzy and how that guy used her and then threw her away. I’m so glad that Nan made the right choice in the end and decided to marry the duke and become a duchess.

This is a show based off a book. There's only one season rn but it has been renewed. In the book she ends up with "Jay" who's name is actually Guy not Jay. Honesty personality wise Guy is better suited for Nan. plus Nan didn't actually want to marry Theo, she had to for the sake of her sister.

Nan slept with Jay when she was in love with Theo and engaged to him, and then married Theo, after leaving Jay? That's so uncharacteristic of her.

Probably, if they were open to the idea of "testing waters", it would have been okay but that's not the case. Theo got the short straw. And to be honest, considering how Nan has been throughout the story, it felt like this was something she'd never do. So, the author did a disservice to the character as well.

This is not a period drama, it is a modern drama in costumes. Women don't go about, taking their clothes to swim in the sea, and calmly talking to strange or no strange men in undergarments 🤭, they rarely do this nowadays, let alone more than a hundred years ago (free American or not) 🤫. People maintained composure in social events then regardless of being from the English nobility/high society, so Conchita's complaints are childish; they didn't go about scolding their mothers in public (specially not in a party) 🤨, so James might be a controlling manipulative husband, but not in a way that would tarnish his reputation; they also did not keep going back and forth between London and New York as they just got in the next boat trip as they get in the next red eye flight nowadays... 🤔 I could go on and on, so we can watch for the entertainment, not for historical accuracy. That being the case, I'm rooting for the Duke 🤪

Nan made the right and smart choice. she was unaware that jay was bankrupt and him asking her to travel the world was a plain joke. she called his bluff and enjoyed the rest of her life as a duchess.

James seems to be manipulative abuser who gaslights and mistreats. The behavior is so typical, it is literally by the book. First he controls her, then manipulates, then denies it ever happened. She becomes confused and lost and also dependent on him. Then comes physical abuse, after- presents, love, best feelings again, only to mistreat her again. That way he keeps her in the loop of ups and downs of toxicity. She will tolerate his bad manners and abuse, because she is conditioned and knows after will be honeymoon period again.

Everyone is glad she chose Theo but what is Theo getting? An unfaithful gold digger.

Thank you someone speaking FACTS and TRUTH she play the victim because Jay lied to her about his situation ect ect but at no time did she care about Theo she did she same thing, I know why she ended up marrying him for her mom and her sister but if she had just a little bit consideration for him she would’ve be honest and I do think that he loved her so much that he would still have helped her. In a way she did theo everything that had reproached guy, she lied, cheated, had no good intentions, she was not sincere, and she thought qua her own person. honestly she deserves neither Because if jay lied about his financial situation and his reasons he developed feelings for her afterwards and Theo would be willing to do anything for love. I wonder what SHE has to give them. She even more selfish than her friends.

There's a difference between prejudice and understanding. Cultures have always been flowing and movable, that's not true, people acknowledge n move. Also people are who they are, n that's makes more sense, compared to being a mirror image of a concept of your gender at any point in time we need range n variety that ruins populations and societies. There's a difference between morals and personality. I think you'd be surprised knowing most of human history, beyond the title words we are taught in early school and deep unsimple flows of people interacting.

It’s happened. I mean, parents fall in love with their children the day they’re born. Why can’t people? I think it’s rare and most people force it, but when you think of true love with couples, when they look back over their relationship, they’ll admit they loved each other from the first moment. My grandparents were like that. They just didn’t realize it until later.

Duhh I feel like I wasted my 37 minutes!! The story line dropped to cheap so fast. Like I was rooting for nan and Theo whole time but the moment she betrayed him, it was all over. Unfortunately theo had the worst luck where he didn’t wanted to be chosen just because he’s a Dutch someone, he was exactly chosen for that reason. Not to mention unfaithful gold digger behaviour of nan🤮
