When my dad was on his mission in Chile, he became deathly ill with meningitis, and stayed at the home of the mission president as he tried to recover. President Hinckley was an apostle at the time. He and Sister Hinckley were also staying at the mission home at the time. Elder Hinckley spent long hours at my dad’s bedside, chatting with him and telling him jokes and looking at baseball cards with together. Sister Hinckley stayed in close contact with my grandma back in the stated, giving her updates on my dad’s health. I’ll always be so grateful to them, for getting my dad through that time, so that he could fulfill and finish his earthly mission.

So jealous of their children! Can you imagine having those two as parents, living examples of being followers of Christ, of a wonderful marriage . As another lady just wrote, he is my favorite prophet. I am not Mormon but I do study some of your beliefs and things. All of you are very blessed ❤️

I love how President Hinckley taught me how to become more of the parent I wanted to be. So while I didn’t have him as an earthly parent, he has very much been a father to me! And the wisdom of his wife has equally blessed my motherhood and marriage. Such a gift to know them! So happy you and I do! ❤

I love knowing they are together right now. And forever.

I'm so glad I watched this. It's so easy being caught up in the world, but keeping your life and relationships focused on the Savior and His teachings makes all the difference.

I Love the the Hinkleys so MUCH and I miss them! He was the Prophet I I grew up with and to hear his voice truly makes me feel like I’m 5 again listening to conference hearing everyone laughing and not truly understanding but knowing how much everyone just LOVED those men and he’s right and we need laughter now more then ever! It’s essential, we are that we may have joy

He had such a great sense of humor. When asked what it was that made his marriage so successful, he said I always let her have her way. I tried that in my marriage and it worked like a charm.

I remember them in NZ visiting. President had spoken then he turned and asked her if she would like to speak? No, she said. Are you sure, he asked. No Im sure. He turned back wuth a big grin.

There are things beyond this world that we know as Faithful LDS members. There is nothing greater on earth than the relationship and connection that you share with your Heavenly Father. It starts with the faith and love that you have for your Heavenly Father. He actknowledges all things unto you through his beloved sacred spirit.

I can feel the love they had (have) for each other. Theirs is the kind of marriage I aspire to have. I love and sustain the current prophet, but Gordon B. Hinckley will always be my prophet. ❤

Amazing how Mormon theology changes with the wind. When US. Congress refused to allow Utah statehood, due to polygamy & pedophilia .God came to the Mormon church and told them to give up multiple wives & sex with children... In1978, Jessie Jackson led a planned Salt Lake City protest of Blacks non admission to the priesthood & the temple. 100,000 Black men were organizing a protest in Utah of racist Mormon church teachings; Then, that same year, God then came to the Mormon church and told them black people were now okay.
