john16-33 "In this world you will have suffering. But take heart I have overcome the world." God never said there would never be suffering in the world.
Thank you for this today. I’m still recovering from losing 2 of my family members to a double homicide last year.
Brilliant. Love John Lennox. Kind, joy filled hope and compassion for the lost!
awesome thanx
Profound words in few statements ...woow
My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus' blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' name. When darkness seems to veil His face, I rest in His unchanging grace; in every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil. On Christ the solid rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand.
That beautiful hymn, MY hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus Christ his righteousness. As Christians our hope transcends beyond the grave into his glorious presence and appearing.
Beautiful. I absolutely needed to hear this today. X
Wow! This has got to be one of the most caring, considerate, beautiful and almost perfect approaches to answering this question. THANK YOU for this! God bless you both.
Thanks. I think you are saying God exists because there is no hope when God doesn't exist. AN INTERESTING WAY to prove the existence of a personal god.
Well put John if only more people could work it through to that conclusion God is hope
1John 5.19 :"We know we originate with God but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one. " 2Peter3. 13 :"But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to His promise and in these righteousness is to dwell. "
Amazing. Thank you
I think of Job and his suffering, he had faith, he had hope, he believed in a redeemer with a capital R. Jesus is that Redeemer, He personally became [and personified] all the pain of mankind, crucified and mocked, and fulfulled God's redemption plan from before the beginning of creation. He planned all of this from the beginning. Suffering builds character that kind God likes. So let us persevere, build our faith like Job did so that nothing will tear it down to pieces.
That’s a good video- we have hope!
