Eyup Simon, have you not noticed mate. Those bins have a pedal to press so no need to pull the handle 👍. I was up there on Saturday teatime, not been up West Cliff for years. I spent many a happy time in that pool as a child and took my children there too.

Hey Simon Another banging Vlog Nice to see your back at the kiddies pool 95 % finished refurbishment Shame about the benches & the weed's. Not to be picky, but painting the island the same colour as the pool is only asking for trouble. I have to agree with you on pizza west it is the dog's Oh just to mention... I'm a few Vlogs behind, so I am on catch up as I went on holiday with the family to Greece. Chin, chin my friend 👍

I cant believe you said that about the Job Center. I had almost the exact same problem when going for a parking permit. Actually left and drove to Town Hall in Scarborough instead where everyone was pleasant and polite. I feel sorry for anyone having to use WhitbyJobCentre for any reason at all. The staff there all seem really nice, but the security seem to have major personality issues.

@@simplywhitby5356 Could you imagine if you were in the unfortunate situation of being out of work, and to compound your misery you were met by the condescending attitude of the security staff every time you had to go there. If you weren't depressed before you went in you sure would be when you came out.

Potted meat sandwiches take me back to the late 1950's and early 1960's. Always used to have some on picnics back then. Cannot remeber the last time i had one.

I had one today!

Spent many happy hours in that pool as a kid. Lovely to see it referbed hopefully they spend a bit of dosh on the seating and concrete surrounds to finish it off. Mind you when you first got there i had a panic on thinking my fone screen was cracked until i realised it was a join in the pool phew 😅

Just a quick story . They have a little pool like this in llandudno North Wales. They painted it pretty much like they have there in Whitby. Only They used cheep blue paint. Needles to say Llandudno was full of Blue Kids. Looked like a Smurf invasion 😂😂😂😂

I'm not surprised the council have made a balls up of the paddling pool. They ain't exactly got a good rep for anything. 4 weeks and counting and I'm back in home old Whitby. Hope to see you there.

@@simplywhitby5356 Paddling pool has all new benches now and weeds all gone, we watched them finishing the refurb this last fortnight while we are here, looks great all completed now
