The corona virus has a function that seems to be potentially the precursor for the mitochondria in early life on earth. This video is a good example of its use as a means of delivery for RNA. If we could use this as a means of changing human mitochondrial DNA than not only could we use animal genetics to make cells that make chemicals like those found in frogs that can be frozen and thawed out for use in suspended animation and long term space travel. It could also be the opening scene for several Japanese Manga and video game stories about beast races and wars fought with Chimera. Splice, splice, baby...

I prefer transhumanism. But since it is a technology=tool, good and bad deeds alike could be done with it.
