Thank you for such a thorough review. I’ve wanted to try these paints for a long time but they’ve always been sold out. Today I finally was able to place an order! I appreciated your mixing swatch. A lot of the colors were quite beautiful when mixed. Really lovely video.

Thanks you for this video Elizabetta...I googled how to use A.Gallo color charts and swatches...and I found this...I just received my order today, and, I have the same palette...I agree about the Carmine and Alizarin Crimson being awefully similar...would have like to have seen another blue personally. I am glad you have finally got to try them. i have been buying on the restock days now for a few years...a bit addicting , to say the least...How will you use those colour charts they sent, as I also received those...the swatches is a no brainer......but the 6 rows/6 colours across and down...not sure how to use it when I look at their example....for some reason I ended up with 3 packs...yikes...have no idea...the swatches...come to nearly 90 colours with all 8 sheets...you sure don't need more than one pack...they barely even make 100 colours...I guess I will figure out a way to use them for other paints brands as well...and cover the A. Gallo with a different brand??? Hope you are having a nice day in Italy! Janis

I can't understand why anyone would pay that price for a paint that seems to barely move. We can get pure single pigment paints for $2.18 a 15ml tube. So why would anyone pay more for the exact same thing?

I find that handmade watercolor have more charme but don’t perform maybe as well as big brands! But where do you buy paint at such a good price?

I got 21 colors from Jackson’s 9 individual colors, and the signature. Set #1 with the tints toro brush mine was almost impossible to open lol they’re beautiful 😻

Yes 😉😂Tintoretto is such a lovely brush but I have a hard time in opening and closing it!!

The quinaceradone gold is lovely, Daniel smith is pretty too but different

I like this set, but I also like their Signature 1 with the Harbour Blue and Notturno. Your review inspired me to add a pan of their Quin Magenta PR122 to the mixing set. It fit in the brush space and there was still room for the Tinteretto, albeit at an angle! I'll do some mixes with it and see the difference. Don't look now, but they are offering a stunning Naturale 3 palette this month, ha! I have a question... Do you use your Tinterettos from their palettes exclusively with their paints, or do you use them with other sets? Quirky, I know! Thanks for your reviews, they're really inspiring and reliable 😂😂

Thank you Vati! Actually, I use their Tintoretto Brush with my curated travel palette, as I use my studio brushes for the A. Gallo set! I will check out this palette you’re mentioning, not to buy it, but just for fun! Thanks!

Beautiful! Is the middle row large enough to hold more half pans if I wanted to buy one and make it a palette of 18 with a few other colors of my choice? I have a travel brush pouch so I dont need to use the space for the brush! :) Excited to hear.

I think you can fit up to 20 half pans! You can check out my latest video about setting up a travel palette and you will see how I do! Thank you for your comment!

@@WatercolorElisabetta Thanks I will! I made a list of both cool and warm primaries along with some mineral and earth tones. I’ll probably, for now, order a couple single half pans at a time, max of 4 from Jackson’s and there is a shipping cost. I plan to build up my collection gradually!

@@WatercolorElisabetta I will definitely keep you posted! At the moment my wish list of A. Gallo single half pans are Quinacridone Magenta, Royal Yellow, Transparent Cerulean, Scarlet Red, Mineral Violet, Green Earth Warm, Hematite, Ultramarine Blue Dark, Indian Yellow…

I managed to get hold of this set in September, but have still not even swatched them!! 😳 Imagine my delight in finding both your swatching and colour mixing chart! I think I had been a little nervous that I wouldn’t like them after spending so much, sadly the postage alone to the UK was €20 😲 making it even more expensive… What were the postage costs for you being within Italy? I’m just curious. Ever since Brexit things become both harder to obtain from Europe and ever more expensive. I did not vote for Brexit, and in fact Scotland as a whole voted against. When we eventually gain our full independence (hopefully in my lifetime), I know our devolved Parliament say they would rejoin 🙏🏻 Apologies for the politics, but it truly does have a bearing not only on the purchase of art supplies, but basically everything!! The UK is in free fall (again). Now, I need to stop watching KZread and attempt to tidy my home - I am a wheelchair user and have two carers, but sadly, one has been on holiday in Santorini (she is in heaven according to the messages) 😊 and the other has been off sick for the past two weeks with a very stubborn and problematic chest infection (I worry about her). Hmmm…where to start…dishes? Washing machine? Bathroom? Bedroom? Lounge? Sigh… One thing at a time, and perhaps reward myself with some art supply play? 😻 Linda, my no doubt very tanned carer returns on Wednesday. We are both coffee connoisseurs and I always have some interesting beans to grind and try. I suspect I am only liked for my coffee…!! 😂 Enjoy your Sunday x

Hello Anita!! I think the postage was around 7 euros….I know Scotland wants to join again! That would be awesome!! Brexit was a great wound for us all…I’m following politics in the UK, Liz Truss was all over our papers…(unfortunately we share the name); however in Italy we have a fascist prime minister now so….I fear the worst.
