Coloring in the stripe you don't like is a great idea! Another idea is to embroider it, I think I thin line of chain-stitched red would cover up the pink and add some very cool texture.

I like the embroidery idea, I'm not 100% sure with the marker idea...but who knows, it might work out great as well.

I'd add color blocked buttons, maybe in yellow or even orange or whatever works for your wardrobe. Edit: only tip I have regarding heel caps: don't ever wear your shoes without them, it damages the heels and leather so badly!! I once had to walk home with a missing cap and the cobbler had to shorten the heels of my shoes 😢 So be patient and get that done first, it's not expensive at all.

Yes! I had to walk several city blocks after the heelcaps of my fabulous thrifted 90s-does-60s shoes broke on their first outing, and they were damaged beyond repair 😢. Now I’m considering just proactively replacing the caps on my favorite vintage shoe thrifts. (Just google “shoe repair near me”)

Replacing worn out heel caps and soles is a great hack! Easily done at a local repair shop, reduces consumption and is much cheaper than new shoes. I got the fancy leather soles on a pair if flats covered with a rubber sole and now they work great in the unreliable Scottish climate. 😊

Same! I recently wore a pair of heels that I begged my mom to buy me when I was a teenager. They’re so funky and cool, Orange cognac color leather Kenneth Cole Reaction collection. Super 70’s styled with flare jeans. Now 12 years later, one of the heel caps were missing so finding this comment saved these shoes! I love them too much to get rid of them. Thank you!

I'm in love with the way your childhood media consumption influences your wardrobe choices. 😂 For a button swap on the blue jacket, I feel like a similar size/shape button to what's already on there but in like a tortoiseshell brown type of color would add the perfect earthy vibe to go with the rest of your wardrobe. I hope that makes sense.

Yess colour in the stripe! It’s a perfect shirt otherwise! Also I accidentally thrifted my fav vintage nightgown for 4 bucks, and wearing it with a ton of necklaces and my black harness belt makes me feel like the top tier version of myself ❤❤ Looove the dress with navy blue boatneck, rlly looks beautiful on you and I bet u can style it in so many ways ❤

As an avid thrifter and vintage lover, I've had to get quite a few pairs of shoes fixed over the years, including replacing heel caps like your red boots need! I recommend researching cobblers in your area or literally just googling "shoe repair near me," often places that alter clothes also do shoe repairs! The heel cap replacement is a pretty common repair and I think I've paid anywhere from $20-40 to have it done on a pair of shoes. Those boots are insane and def worth investing in repairing! Great video :)

For sure, getting the heel caps replaced at any cobbler will be just fine! I'd also ask them to do an extra rubber insert under the sole on the outside for extra grip & durability of the shoe. They also sell really nice quality water protectant and clear shoe polish (;

thank u!! it's l’oréal paris infallible pro-matte liquid lipstick in the color cowboy, with just a generic clear gloss layered on top (I use NYX butter gloss).

Having a good cobbler and seamstress is really valuable. It's wonderful to be able to repair or tweak a piece you really like and have for years in your wardrobe.

Find a good cobbler in your area or close enough to places you frequent. The one I love is near my job so I try to take 3-4 things in at a time. If I need a quick turnaround I use one close to my home. The real problem is that leather working, shoe repair, etc is a lost art and my family business owners end up closing because the kids don’t want to take over when it is time.

I think the peach and navy both are great colors on you! I think lavender buttons would be my choice for the cobalt coat. And the final dress/es are giving total queen vibes!

Such a fun video! With the cobalt blue coat, I think it would look very cute with big brown, wooden buttons. It could be versatile and slightly nautical. Even better, I do not know how to do this, but toggles would look adorable on it as well.

My grandma used to live near Spring Green so I spent many summers at APT and went to House on the Rock almost every other year growing up! also some cute yellow or wooden flower shaped buttons on that blue coat would be lovely. 🌼

@Buttons for the blue blouse: I think something geometric and colorful would be nice. With a strong 80ies vibe. Maybe square-shaped with rounded colors in red, yellow or a combination. "statement buttons", so to speak.

Speaking of deep cuts, I know about house on the rock from American Gods. I was so excited as a non-Wisconsonite because I knew exactly what you were about to say!

So, I also thrifted a pair of shoes with missing heel caps. I ended up just using leftover warbla thermoplastic to replace them myself. so far it's working great.

omg yes I will have to try them together!! & I've used fabric markers before and then totally work!! They fade over time like any design but yeah I think they're great:)) I've never used them to refresh a design so not sure if it would look off paired an original graphic, but I've had great success with them drawing my own shirt designs!

For the blue jacket I would do oblong wood or horn toggle style buttons, or tortoiseshell style circular ones! If you could find something nautical that would also be cool. So many possibilities!

I’ve definitely taken a navy blue and white striped shirt and gone over all the blue with a black fabric marker. No regrets even with the hands cramps it gave me.

I get heel caps replaced all the time! You almost certainly have a family-owned shoe repair shop near you that can get them fixed up fast and relatively cheap. 😊

Suggest you cover the buttons on the blue jacket with some funky fabric... it would really brighten it up and could coordinate with your head scarfs. Great video.

You could make custom shrinkydinks buttons in a cute lil shape for that blue jacket! Then you could have a little custom shape that's interesting and unique (maybe red flowers??)

You should be able to get heel caps replaced by any cobbler! If you walk on them without the heel cap you’ll likely damage the heel. Also, I feel like the cobalt jacket would look great with solid black or tortoiseshell buttons 🙃

befriend your local cobbler, they can do amazing things with shoes you think are truly dead. they can fix the boots easily.

I actually love the colors in that tank top. I can totally see the striped dress as a Vivienne Westwood base layer. A white, long sleeve shirt under it plus your harness on top. Some funky jewelry...❤.

Love the paisley top- pajama or no, the print and colors are great! The royal blue would look good with any colored buttons. The clear buttons are too weak a statement! Chambray is in for fall.The bodysuit is so complimentary with your hair. Great haul.

OMG NOOOOO, I love those buttons, makes the jacket simple but modern, the transparent style can be basic and funky, so many options to style it. Because of their size it can be difficult to match other type that doesn't flash out the jacket.
