What are the accuracy of measurements?

if you close the app, and re-open will it know where you are?

yes. you can do that. you may mean relocalization. or inter-session place recognition. The function is supported in the app named "Append Scan" button. But you need to capture a frame taken in the visited scene with very similar viewpoints.

@@gskim we are a group of university students trying to make an AR game where we want a specific location scanned and have trigger points, but we are unsure of whether it's possible to have the phone recognize where you are and where the trigger points are in the scene

@@LukasHarkamp It would be better if you can place a feature-fruitful poster composed of many colors and diverse designs. But the performance should be empirically tested.
