    That’s a characteristic of most rodents, which is why rats and mice are known to chew through random objects that clearly aren’t edible. If the teeth aren’t used and worn down on a consistent basis, they become long enough to pierce the inside of the animal’s mouth, leaving it in constant, serious pain.

    Well, a human’s teeth aren’t naturally white. It has a lot to do with the layers. The yellow is from an inner layer of your teeth. The thicker the outer layer, the less yellow.

    ​@@tammylines2779 definitely no. Some are exceptional but guinea pigs are shy creatures and it takes time getting many to grow initial trust with one as soon as you get it. And don't get me started on the wild ones. They'd definitely have to get accustomed to human interaction

    I think it depends on the situation, for example, capybara with son is more aggressive than normal, or just wild ones, I've seen cases of capybaras running after people, but I've never seen anyone hurt from one though.

    As a diamond driller i'm blessed to see them everyday at wrk in the Amazon they are so accustomed to us they live in our workshop plus we protect them from jaguars & other wildcats. They know they're safe with us .

    Good question! Capybaras are herbivores! And apparently they have to watch out for jaguars and pumas in the jungle. But a lot of capys are smart and stay around parks and urban areas where they don't have predators.

    Rabbits also have the same principle where their teeth never stop growing so you always need to have something hard like wood for those rodents to chew on so their teeth don’t grow too long and obstruct their mouth! :)
