A Full Timeline of the Harry Kane Curse

Harry Kane has been one of the most prominent strikers in the world for a decade, destroying defenders in the best football league in the world. All his goals and assists have led to a bunch of nothing though, and Kane remains trophyless.
The end of Kane’s career is rapidly approaching and even after joining Bayern his trophy chances are looking slim. Many have labeled him a choker but is that actually accurate?

I would say he is more a "not big game player" than a choker really

I always thought that his move to Bayern Munich was the right decision for Harry Kane, because he was joining a club that had won 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles and in a season they’re guaranteed at least 1-2 trophies every year and there was a feeling that’s he’d win easy trophies. In his first ever game for Bayern Munich hours after he signed the contract with them, they lost the German Super Cup final to RB Leipzig and fans were making fun of him first game at a new club, lost a chance to win a trophy and everyone was calling him “cursed” saying that you can’t take a player out of Tottenham, but you can’t take Tottenham out of them. On a personal level, he’s having the best season of his career, and anybody who thinks that a player who has 37 goals and 10 assists is the reason for Bayern Munich’s struggles this season, you’re wrong. He is carrying them he’s the best striker in the world and I think it’s funny that the very first season he joins Bayern Munich they’ll potentially go trophy less. Remember last season, everyone was saying “wait until Bayern Munich signs a striker” they did that he’s scoring goals yet the team hasn’t been meeting expectations and they think he has a trophy curse and their problems are down to him not taking the “Tottenham out of him”. Ok he’s cursed a little bit, but keep in mind that context is important because Bayern Munich’s problems started last season before they even signed Harry Kane. Last season they made a mistake in sacking Julian Nagelsmann at a time where they were in contention to win a treble, and the only reason why Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga title was because of Borussia Dortmund’s choke job and in any other season playing that poorly they wouldn’t have won the league. We’re seeing that this season and he’s been unlucky in a sense that Bayer Leverkusen are simply refusing to lose a game and Xabi Alonso deserves credit for their unbeaten run and this isn’t because of Harry Kane’s curse when I mentioned how good he’s been individually he’s won the team games with his goals and their decline started this time 12 months ago. There’s a possibility that he goes trophy less yet again this season and him winning nothing it’s not the end of the world, because for god sake Harry Kane plays for Bayern Munich a club that’s guaranteed to win trophies every season and he has time to win something there and regardless of how this season is going for him, he still made the right choice to leave Tottenham even though he should’ve joined Manchester City years ago.

Harry Kane has been one of the best strikers in the world in the last decade. Playing for Tottenham of all teams, he was dominating the premier league the most competitive league in the world regularly scoring 20+ goals for them year in year out, he even won 3 Golden Boots showcasing that he’s not a “one season wonder” and in his debut season at Bayern Munich he’s hit the ground running. 37 goals in all competitions, in a league season in the premier league on Tottenham, he scored 30+ goals or more on 2 separate occasions and at Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga alone he has 31 goals in 26 league games. Despite his stats, he’s not appreciated enough because he’s never won a trophy in his career. Playing on Tottenham for most of your prime years was a massive disadvantage for him, because they as a whole have gone 16 years without winning a trophy and also when was the last time they won a league title. Many people believed that they got to the champions league final without him in 2019 when he got injured and everyone blamed him for why they lost the champions league final against Liverpool that year even though he wasn’t 100% fit in that game and it showed in his performance that night. It’s not even his fault and with him coming up short in narrow title races, knocked out of World Cup semifinals to Croatia lost 3 finals with Tottenham and the EUROs final with England in 2021, this allowed people to push an agenda that he wasn’t a world class striker due to the fact that he always ghosted in big games and could never win anything. I know he’s on Bayern Munich now, but in 2021 Harry Kane should’ve joined Manchester City and by now he’s probably would’ve won some trophies and while he stayed at Tottenham for a couple of seasons, he finally left last summer to join Bayern Munich in search of trophies.
