I'm sure a ton of your customers know this stuff, but for a new bass fisherman, I can't get enough of your videos and how educational they are. And yes, I'm one of those customers that was asking about hook size when I purchased my first set of Hazedong swim baits! You are helping me build a solid tacklebox...do we still call them that :)

hands down best way to rig that 3" hazadong in my opinion {and i know opinions may very} is on the back of a 1/8-3/16 oz coolbaits underspin. it gets licked!!! love that swimmer!

Thanks for the video Ben/Geoff. I use the spark shad on a jig head with success and four eyes. lol Best line in the video...'it can't be real, it has four eyes' 😂 I agree with Geoff. Extra eyes mean more bites, possibly two or more bait fish. Love Megabass plastics. ✌🏻🎣

I like to put a spark shad on a ned head. Works great. Also, the screw head with 3” spark shad has been money for me this year. Smallmouth and largemouth.

Guppy Head, 3 inch Spark Shad (Albino, Purple Haze), is lights out. When not even the drop shot is working, best believe I got my Guppy Head and 3 inch Spark Shad ready to go.

Great ,,thank u… superb information for hazedong..could I ask the follow question to make setup complete…..what strength braid would u recommend ..for lake with smaller sized bass … would 10 lb strength be good or go 8 ….would u recommend leader with the braid …thank u again.

My go to Bait has been a 3 inch spark shad on a dropshot or a 3/8oz guppy head with a spark or hazedong. Awesome rig for deep fish in that 30+ft range, I've caught so many giant smallmouth on that guppy head with a a spark shad on a flyssa its insane.

Could you please add a BFS and other technique specific sections to your website? With baits, hooks, rods etc.

For some reason when I use a flashy swimmer I get a lot of strikes on the blade itself so, if I can- I often swap it out for a Cool Baits Down Under Spin- I use the bluegill madness 3/16ths head and a hazedong in the green pumpkin/chartreus laminate color- can't remember the name of it- looks just like sungill from Keitech. Spotted bass absolutely destroy it- they can't get enough of it. Some times I swim it normally- sometimes I swim it super slow so the blade just drags on the rocks along bottom instead of spinning- it's super effective around spotted bass or smallies. That said- buy a bunch cause they're not weedless at all- and they get stuck in the cracks in the rocks- you lose a lot of them but, man it catches them- it's worth it to me.

Ben love this video ! My question is does Megabass make a Okashira in anything bigger than 1/8 ? If I remember the package does have bigger sizes printed on it ?

The 5” spark shad with the beast hook does a jerk bait type action if you pop the rod tip up a couple times on the retrieve. Just a observation.

I'll cut the sides off the boot tail of the sparkshad and fish it like a fluke, it gets slammed!

Regarding the Pile Driver. 6/0. I’m looking for a lighter option over the Owner Flashy. Is the gap the same, and idea what the weight is on the Pile Driver ? I’m fishing the 5.8 Fat Impact. Thanks!

Caught my pb twice in the same spot off a 4.5 Hazedong shad on ca delta. The bass was huge with a parasite on his Gill plate.so mad I don’t have a scale still lol

I always double clip my drop shot weights. I didn't think alot of other people did that.

You should carry Core tush swimbait and hover rig hook they are the best

@@thehookuptackle_usa For sure . I was using the Trokar DS hook but I would loose at least 1 out of 5 bites . They'd either come off subsurface or when they jumped up top . My buddy turned me on to the 6th Sense hook . It seems to be a hybrid between a si Pro V and a old school O'Shaughnessy bend . This hook is the deal !!! I've even started to use it for my nose hooked fluke applications in open water

I’ve been using lindy rig weights on my weedless swimbait riggging for years now and what it does for casting distance is amazing(acts as a weight transfer). The advent of free rig weights gives me more options now and you can use a peg to keep it from sliding to far back into the bait. When you kill it it will spiral nose down too! 16th oz on a 3 inch spark Shad with a weedless hook is a killer! Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed!
