A Formless Home With Multiple Courtyards Redefines Luxury (Home Tour).

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

‘Nirbhay Nirgun’, a poem by Sant Kabir, set in motion an immersive design journey towards the creation of a formless house in the vast and open landscapes of Gujarat. Referred to as 'a house without elevations’, the project surfaces from the absence of context. This prompts the architect to shift his perception and create an inward-looking home with meditative spaces that evoke emotion deep within.
#MyGreatFacade is a series presented by Fenesta Windows in association with #Buildofy
An intersection of abstract curves and straight lines creates a composition of open, semi-open, and covered spaces, allowing the family of 4 and their guests to constantly stay in contact with nature. The revealing and concealing quality of the meticulously designed spaces is meant to be lived in as well as experienced. Simple yet creative use of materials ties the spaces together.

The textured concrete wall, the Gulmohar tree courtyard, the swimming pool with a terracotta shade, and the elder son’s room with a mezzanine, are some key highlights of the project. The Principal Architect narrates the design decisions and construction techniques giving shape to this home, built over a span of 8 long years through multiple reiterations and improvisations. This is what makes its architecture poetic.

Breathtaking...Indian architecture is lot to be explored... especially using Kota and raw material for designing shows that you don't always require fancy material to make something beautiful,it depends on the weather , place so much to make it sustainable for much longer..this home will grow through age

Timeless Design and the Narrator's philosophy is enticing. The house is like a painting 🎨🖌️ which you would love to watch more and more.

Must have cost a fortune and a lifespan of 9 years, your client must be a patient man. Great design, specially the concrete pattern (that is something novel). This house will be even more beautiful after 15 years.

Mr.Shah - Be patient. The best things happen unexpectedly. “Architecture is a visual art, and the buildings speak for themselves.” Minimalism is an appreciation of space.

Beautiful but has a downer feel to it. It doesn't come around as lively and energetic and happy. Very easy to get bored here with the sheer size and how it can isolate one individual from the other...

this is nice & beautiful, but this is clearly a luxury project. they havent even built 2 floors, as construction of first floor is 20-25% cheaper atleast than construction on bare ground level. would love to see more budget & practical projects that people could afford if they save for 10 yrs & then take a loan for another 20 yrs (sub - 1 cr. projects), where the architects use their mettle to reduce the costs, not increase it. maybe that would spark the imagination of more viewers...

Minimalist, spacious & airy space, but somehow it does not give the home cozy vibes. Does not feel like a house. Looks like a retreat/rehabilitation house. Excess spacing also makes people distant within the house.

The form and extent of the project matches with a community and public building.....your sensibility and ideas are very nice....but i wonder about the part on client as construction could have been left out on certain parts of land altogether for trees and greenery to grow as opposed to building a concrete infrastructure on whole patch of land....also it is similar to bring urbanisation to rural sensibilities as a metaphor

they probably dont use polythene sheets during shuttering, but then that would probably cause problems in the long run in the form of cracks if all the water & much of the cement drained out from the shuttering due to no plastic waterproof layer. that seems to be the case here

~10 years to design and build this? Call me novice but it's it too much time? It's not even that great either, he just tries to weave some story and fancy examples to hide how mediocre this building looks. Considering he took 8-9 years to build this for a client who was 60, he stole at least 7-8 years of their retirement life. They hardly have 20 years and dude ate up half of it and thanking them for their patience.

What a waste of agricultural land. In future if we keep expanding horizontally expect India to become deficit in food. We will be importing food from other countries which will become a threat to our existence as a civilization.
