The jail looking building was the old Courtland Jail. The iron door and barred windows were pulled out by the county to use in the new Benson jail.
Courtland used to have the largest automobile dealership in Arizona. I used to ride my dirt bike all over that area when I was stationed at Ft Huachuca.
Thank you Sally! Thanks for trying. And thank you for taking us along. 2 thumbs up.

Your videos are the best! We love you SightseeingSally and Marty! You do such an awesome job with your sightseeing!
Fellow Arizona explorer here- I usually just call BS on such signage and take my chances because it is BS. Sometimes even check property boundaries on a map and verify and find at times they are false or erroneous. Have yet to run into any issues.
Keep the Jail away in isolation brilliant 🤔 Happy Almost Wednesday everyone. Great job Sally and Marty. 👍🎮🎙😎

Be careful out there Marty and Sightseeing Sally! It's not only the cacti that can poke your skin out there, some of the bushes have long and strong thorns on them. Hope you both are having a good time.
I agree why destroy old awesomeness with paint 🤷 You guys are awesome
That one building, maybe a, “Taco Bell,” just kidding.

I loved when you did that cartoon woa woa woa! Sally that might be the base of a staircase!
Been to those old ghost towns many times. You should follow the trail to Cochise, which is now a 'semi-ghost town'. In fact where I used to live. You can still rent rooms there in the old hotel. And if you are ambitious just hike about 4 miles straight west from there to abandoned gold mines. (Red Bird mts). Also-that Ghost Town Trail is a major smugglers/dope running route after dark, proceed accordingly. Good luck.
My Ranger friend Sally nice Arizona cap! And lumberjack shirt!

The four precisely placed wood planks stuck upright in the ground are grave markers for the four former occupants of the jail who died when someone forgot to feed and water them. To extract revenge, their relatives tore out the window bars and broke up the front doors and hauled them off and dumped them on the front yards of the people responsible for prisoner care who failed at their jobs.

And Sally.....The Jail was in a really remote place! :)
The 4 pieces of wood look to belong in "boothill"......but they are awfully close together......😮

As much as I hate the graffiti on these old ruins, I take some small consolation in the belief that, if it weren't for these ruins, those pathetic knuckleheads would be spray painting their idiotic tags on large natural rock formations, for all to see.
Sally, those flat cactus plants that were by that first foundation is the camels favorite food. I saw them in here someplace and it showed one just chewing away at some right in its mouth. Yuck. I just thought I would let you know that.

Possibly a cementary?
the wood could have been headstones...or head wood, as it may be

How could I find a piece of land there? I'm nowhere close.
Maybe some of these dwellings are leftovers from a past reset? Seems odd to have had these out in the middle of desert with no population. IDK

Alot of old towns were out in the middle of nowhere. So so many mimes and ghost town some.very large.alotbhas changed in the landscapes around these areas so we're not so sure what they looked like in tbe past. But yes many many small town, even some pretty large were way way out in the middle of nowhere. They set up where the mine was.
