Well... 🤔🤨 I know the feeling. It's a bizarre place to be. The music is cathartic, it goes one way, positively, but it can go a negative way as well. How can a sad song make you feel better? Never worked for me, I was looking for a relation, sympatico with my thoughts, experiences. But you can find some songs that are too much. Harmful almost. So how to be happy through music? Not so easy~ can't just find happy songs and, voila!! Still finding this tricky. Not sure what I am trying to say. Take what you can from it. And... Thank you! Hang in there, one second @ a time... annndd, Justin has some good answers, clearing 'fogs', etc. 🆗😎🎹

It feels like what you can't see after the credits roll you know? Like the few seconds before the movie ends? Everything's peaceful, all the loose ends are taken care of and everyone's just happy. That's the vibe Justin gives me a lot from his newer music and interviews. Just peace. Of course it isn't that way all the time but that's just the feeling I get from him.

Some of the most beautiful souls come from a place of darkness and internalized pain .. justin has found the path towards happiness and appreciation of life through his gift of creativity channelled masterfully with music .. he's able to put into words what so many find personally identifiable, myself included and it's made me more self aware and brought contentment and a feeling of things make all that much more sense, finally .. Thank you kindly for lighting the pathway, affectionately, barbara

Exactly why his lyrics are tattooed on my body. It helped me take back my power regardless of however troubles I faced. Nobody should give up their power to control their own mindset, or lives. Life is too short to give away a second to anyone who doesn’t deserve it, and only hurts you in the end.

Justin I just wanted take time to thank you for taking the time to help yourself because by you helping yourself and you riding down your words on a piece of paper and decided to sing it out loud help me sinking down into the darkness that I thought I was alone and to see you there and the people that are going through what we go through see them there to know that I was not alone I was going through some pretty hard stuff at least for me and you help me and I've had seen you for 14 times or more and I got to actually meet you on accident you are outside smoking a cigarette before you was about to go on stage and me and my friend went out there to smoke a cigarette and saw you there and went up to you and you just started talking to us like...... You was a regular person not a Superstar singer writer producer you actually sit there and talk to us I know you don't remember us because you meet so many people but I want to thank you for all that you did for yourself and it ricocheted to all of us it kept a lot of us from feeling alone in that darkness now we know that we are not alone and when we go to your concerts we can look around and see we're not alone thank you you and everybody else that's in your band because without them there wouldn't have been you and without you they wouldn't have been them so thank you Blue October band for sticking it out with us and I know you're getting to be a bigger star and get to stand on bigger platforms I just seen you in Oklahoma City at the zoo amphitheater and he was awesome like you always are my point is don't forget about the little ones the little platforms because we do need you and I love watching your life become brighter and I just want you to know my life has become brighter too thank you I'm not going to say one of your biggest fans but I will say one of your biggest family sister of depression

Justin, You are such an inspiration to others. My husband and I are living separately. My 16 year old beautiful son, Briar, chose school there. I’m 600 miles away 💔 My daughter, Bethany (33) & my two amazing grand children, Livie (11) & Aiden (6) are there. We’ve all been through SO much pain so continuously daily for 15 months +++ (That seem like a whole lifetime) I’m here in FL to spend time with my Moma (73) & my Daddy (82). My sister (50) who is so damaged by life & health. My brother in law, also. Same story, damaged by life & health, & military. PTSD runs rampant…. I’m a “dyed BLUE”, Blue October Fan! I begged my husband of 27 yrs, whose watched my struggle, to take me 2 hrs to Nashville to see Blue October, just before Covid! I could even have afforded the tickets for once. (He & I are both disabled ☹️😡) He REFUSED to take me. Devastated me. I’d do anything for him (at least would have. Till my life REALLY FELL APART!) Oddly, Lubbock & Sundown, TX were a huge piece of my spiral down. Tragic family loss. 💔 I spent May 7th, 2020 on a plane alone to meet family in TX. We received a call from a Lubbock hospital that my 58 yr old Uncle. (1 of seven children, many mental health & addiction issues in some family members 😢) He had been ALONE 13 DAYS on a respirator with injuries you’d not imagine, after falling from a 25-30 foot ladder to the asphalt below on his head, on April 23, 2020. We as a family DID NOT KNOW FOR 13 days!!!! By law, after 10 days they can unplug you if no one comes. By Grace of God or just overwhelmed by Covid. They did not on the 10th day. His closest bro & sis arrived the 6th. We were able to spend 1 day, on May 8th, 2020, as Family, with him under Covid rules. Having to take turns speaking to him. HE KNEW those who LOVE him were there! He attempted to communicate with 1 eye & 1 hand. Trying to speak around all the tubes 😢 As a Family, his remaining siblings were explained the gravity of his injuries. He would never be Scott, as Scott was, ever again. He’d never be a master carpenter, horseman, Daddy, etc… ever again! He probably WOULD NOT survive the needed multiple surgeries needed to just make him bedridden with permanent types of life support. He would have eventually died of complications or infections! At 4:30 p.m May, 8th 2020, the Hospital overlooked there were 6 of us gathered around him in his ICU. Rules we had to beg for only wanted 5. (Covid 😡 guidelines) So after 16 days, 13 totally alone on life support, we said goodbye. They removed respirator. If he could breath on his own would still be a prisoner in his own body dying a slow painful death. He lived 90 minutes, as we all 6 stood by him. At 5:55 p.m he passed, after a valiant attempt to continue breathing. We ended up in TX from May 7th to May 29th. Many more bad, evil, illegal & legal issues to attend to. So police were involved. “Fresh new hell, daily” as we put pieces together. Gathered his remaining belongings that his “business partner/evil predator” HADN’T got to finish stealing over 4 nights time. HE had no clue that they didn’t pull that plug on May 3rd (but must have known protocol) But worse for him, He didn’t know his Family was coming and “bringing Hell with them”. ~Tombstone~ Ransacked his place and family info WAS there. We put him in the Detectives & Sheriffs lap! WE DID THAT WORK FOR THE AUTHORITIES! They would not, could not, arrest him on numerous felony warrant charges. His own cousin saw a FB family post. He reached out to us & told his lifelong evil story, and LOCATION! Cops could do NOTHING! Due to overcrowding & Covid they’d only put people in jail if they’d done someone bodily harm! They couldn’t space the criminals 6 ft apart to PROTECT THEM! 😡😢🤬🤬🤬 By the time he’d had to have autopsy, be moved back and forth over two counties, due to lack of Forensic coroners. He was finally cremated. Also long process due to Covid! We picked up his ashes, our tiny urns some family wanted to have, and his belongings taken off his person on April 23rd, 2020. As the Funeral Director opened the sealed contents bag & we itemized the list. HIS WALLET & DRIVER’S LICENSE WERE IN THAT BAG!!!!! YET, he laid alone wondering what the fuck was going on for 13 days! ALONE! 🤬 We are so grateful to have had the one day of May 8th 💔 But pieces just didn’t all fit! 😢😡🤬 We also rescued his dog and 4 remaining pups. They had barely been fed or watered in the TX heat for 13 days! In an enclosed area someone turned the electric and air off in for at least a day before we rescued. Thank God the mother had continue to nurse 4 - six week old pups to sustain them. As a family, we kept his precious Cinnamon (his companion & protector), we were able to keep 2 pups. After vetting them ALL we found an animal transport for rehoming rescues for the other 2. They went to already arranged homes in Denver. 🦋💙🦋 Then my Mom, my wonderful Aunt T, & myself rented a van, loaded up Cinnamon & the runt I adopted (Munch 💙🐾💙) with mementos. Then drive 20 plus hours from Sundown, TX to Navarre, FL. Oh, and I don’t drive. So they took turns driving all those hundreds of miles! I don’t know why after hearing you speak in more than one Mental Health interview, I’m writing this…it seems cathartic. 🌹 Myself, LIVING & COPING”on BLUE OCTOBER MUSIC, as I have for years. 💙💙💙💙💙 Thank YOU for your inspiration & lyrics!!! Thank the Band!!! Someday soon, I hope, I’ll see you Actually LIVE. Maybe in Destin, FL or that area? I’ve glued myself to your KZread, Instagram, broadcast shows, acoustic shows, etc! I’ve not seen Get Back Up yet… 😢 Things in my life are still mentally and physically challenging EVERY SINGLE DAY & NIGHT. Thank you for your ongoing LOVE & SUPPORT & WORDS OF WISDOM! THANK YOU SO SINCERELY, Mishelle Mullis 💙🌹💙🦋💔🎼💙🌹💙

I still like him, but I don’t how recovering addicts get clean and then judge someone for smoking marijuana. Yes it’s true that weed can make people lazy or unmotivated. It’s also true that weed in small amounts can calm anxiety, bring out creativity, help with fog. So I just don’t appreciate people judging marijuana.
