Growing up on the Yakama Reservation, Mel Skahan carried a lifelong fascination for the mysterious forest entities commonly known as Bigfoot. As he transitioned into adulthood, his curiosity intensified during his early involvement with the tribe's forestry program. Seeking to broaden his perspectives, Mel proactively engaged with and eventually became a significant contributor to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO). Recent experiences have further opened Mel Skahan's mind to diverse possibilities, linking Sasquatch not only to the physical realm but also to the spiritual dimension, a connection recognized by many Native communities.

For me, I am a Native American believer in Christ Jesus (Christian) who saw one of these things when I was a little boy, believes they are half human and half demon. Now I can be way out of line on what they really are cause idk…, and that’s t ok with me. If they are not of Christ, I don’t want nothing to with’em I believe they can go from physical body to spirit body. I was told by an Indian doctor/shaman who told me she traveled, in spirit, to where they live (inner world/earth) She said there were several hundreds of them and they didn’t know they were there watching them. She said they hate humans and would have killed them if they found them. I got saved in a Shaker Church Jesus is King

No disrespect intended, we have a klan living on our dairy farm around 30 -32, over the decades we have formed a very close relationship. This klan look far closer to a human than any i have seen from photos in other locations. MY wife has formed a particularly close bond with a female for over 55 years, these 800 acres were her parents she has never lived any place else. We have allowed experts from universities to study them up close with their permission. We were as surprised as you are about to be once we learned what they are, 1/2 PREHISTORIC BROWN BEAR now extinct 1/4 human female and the last part of their DNA IS SUSPECT very similar to an octopus They are approx. 1.2 to 1.5 million years old, evolution gave them paranormal abilities able to access more of their brain than we can 30-40 % more. this is one of 3 types, none are a natural being

You are looking at this phenomenon wrong. We aren't the ones that "find them'. They are more dominant than us, that is why they are able to do the things they do and are in control of all the encounters we have. And people SHOULD seek them out, gift, form relationships with them. This phenomenon teaches us we aren't the top dogs on the block. These beings are connected to 411, and if they want to squash us they could. What should be preached is "be careful"....we are the ones that need to watch out, not these beings with magical type powers.

Fishing on Esopus Creek in Saugerties, NY, my then husband and I were trolling towards very small rapids to bass fish. Beyond the rapids it flattens out and that is where I noticed a female Sasquatch holding the hand of her child. I was mesmerized by seeing them as they walked along the rocks facing away from us. I turned to say..did you see that and in those few seconds, they were gone. This beautiful memory I will never forget.

What you witnessed was the same type of behaviour my wife and i witness everyday on our dariy farm for the last 40 some years, 42 for me closer to 50 for my wife . She started interacting with a female her age when she was around 12 or 13. They try to teach their children all the life skills needed to survive and like us right from wrong. They have passed through a stage all intelligent beings must go through to continue as a species, once this happens that species mind begins to expand from the 10% that each of us can access moves up a notch, we estimate to 15 to maybe 20% the event is called enlightenment, meaning [ to know ] if others were here before humanity and evidence suggest that did happen, they never reached that level of consciousness and as a direct result perished. In 1922 Albert Einstein made the greatest discovery of his or to date anyone else's lifetime, He developed a consciousness test for our universe, thinking it was a living conscious being, guess what? he was correct. IT like many things have been hidden from the masses. Iread when the test proved his theory it sent him into isolation for 3 weeks i imagine looking at and studying results. In 1922 his community believed the world wasn't ready for this truth yet. Apparently he must have agreed, and he in the end published his results calling it SPOOKY REACTION AT A DISTANCE KZread has an excellent video on the entire event. I here at my home conducted the very same test he did, and i to also got the same results. Pretty amazing world we live in, much different than the one we were shown in school. OUR living universe explains many many things. Like the sasquatch nobody gave them supernatural abilities, like them we already have them, each human is born gifted we can not access the part of the brain that controls them, just 10% more makes a huge difference giving everyone the ability to mind speak and read thoughts, a little bit more you become a self healer ect... the universe is the regulator somewhere along the trail one single being must have been granted access to 100% today we know this being as GOD MY personal theory not proven yet, but extremely possible A. I SAYS. probable 93%

My first experiences were in Nor Cal. Not good the first night, I asked if I could camp there and got my first no, I was so shocked I asked again and got no, I’d always gotten yes before then. So I looked around but there was no where else to camp but on this clearing and I was in a carpool with friends so I had no other options but sleeping in the road and I thought I’d be dead if some drunk came flying down it so went ahead and camped there. I was terrified all night long by sticks then rocks being thrown at my tent, then running and slapping my tent from heavy bipedal footsteps, looking back on it, I was camping in their living room or gathering place, but back then I new nothing about them, it was not my intention to disobey, just had no other options, hiking that day in the area, was surrounded by whoops, then received marbles in the trail, when I showed them to the native Americans, we were on the res, started getting Bigfoot stories, it was many years before i realized what all that was.

@@melskahan4805 Mel, thanks for sharing! We have to keep the oral tradition alive and thriving, and I feel that voices, such as yours, that lead to understanding and wisdom, are super important. I grew up on the Quinault rez, and there was no shortage of experiences. Practically every cousin, uncle, auntie, Chupa, grandma, gruncle, etc had multiple stories. Lots of those stories were filled with fear, and I always got the feeling that a lot of that fear was self-generated because they had a hard time processing the shock of that encounter. Some stories, including my own encounters, tell more of a tale of curiosity and care, as that of an elder brother/sister for a younger. A great grandmother of mine would often leave a basket of fruit on her back porch, which would inevitably be taken. On a number of occasions she would go out there in the morning and find a deer with it’s neck snapped as a return gift. I think that for those that want to know about these people, it is so important to go about it with wisdom and respect, and that is the purpose for us passing along our stories. My oldest daughter, now 14, has had a number of experiences of her own, and has a fond view of these people, while respecting their space. That stemmed from a night when she was about 4 years old. I had come out of my shop one late evening, and was standing in the dark enjoying a quiet moment. From the other bank of the creek about 15 yards away I began hearing 2 voices, a conversation in a very expressive, articulate language. I stood and listened for a few minutes, in a state of joy and amazement. Then I “knew” that I needed to go get my daughter from the house. I quickly got her bundled up, picked her up, and we headed back out. The talking had ceased when we got back out there, but i knew they were still there. I told her to just “listen”. After another couple minutes went by before they started talking again. As soon as they did, my daughter turned towards me with her mouth and eyes open. We stood and listened for a while before the voices trailed off. I never felt any fear or hesitation about having my child out there… it was more of a “familial” feeling. That family group has since moved on. These people are just like us; they have their curiosity, hopes, fears, things that piss them off, etc. Overwhelmingly, in my own experience, I have found that they have a lot of heart. Thanks again Mel.

The bridge is an obstruction to their pathway. These tree breaks all occurred in the same season when the bridge was built. I think your theory is correct. If you want to know more about the ancient ones, ask them! Shift your own perspective and quiet your internal constant comment, go into meditation and ask the one you experienced. Be respectful, show thanks and communicate with compassion in your spirit. I think that if you can do this without fear clouding your heart you will be given the gift of ancient knowledge and understanding. You have the abilities, it shows in your words and energy. Be carful of what you ask and remember that they live on the path of the pure heart always... love-compassion, gratitude and forgiveness all with the warriors spirit, on the foundation of truth and integrity. Hello Mel, my first name is Richard, where you and I met back in 2000 in a little camp above a horse camping area on the west side of Mt Adams to where I was once associated with that bigfoot organization that I will not mention. I appreciate your stories regarding your encounters with the Forest People. I would really like to speak with you about our encounter with them that took place just a little further northwest of Mt. Adams on the northern boundaries of the Gifford Pinchos National Forest about seven years ago now to where the wife and I along with a lady friend who had been in a habituation situation with a clan of these beings, and at that time could mind speak with them. They, her big guys, resided around Mt. St. Helens, to where we had a four-night sit-down conversation with a small clan of these beings, where they called themselves, "The Fire Mountain clan". I had the opportunity to ask them questions and I even told them stories about them and some interactions with us humans. Please be advised, how this all worked is the fact that I could speak out to him, to where he could hear me talk, but he could only mind spoke back to our lady friend, with what we were communicating about, where she would tell me as he, the big guy was telling her what to say to me. There is a whole lot more I can say about this, but we would have to talk about that!!! Glad to see that you are still around and in good health, if you can remember me, I was pretty old when we first met, and now I am really old, and it is getting difficult for me to get around anymore. Just would like to inform you what you are dealing with regarding these Forest People, before I have to leave this planet. where it would blow most people's minds, but you might understand what I would like to tell you about them. God Bless and hope we can at least talk!!!!

I appreciate this gentleman and his years of experience in forestry. I've got nearly 40yrs experience in the avian field. Having dealt "hands on" with everything from Warblers to Birds of Prey. So i've also spent my fair share of time in the forest and mountainous areas. Never had a Squatch encounter but i also don't doubt there existence. As i've seen tree breaks that looked quite "suspect" in terms of knowing weather didn't do it. I think he is spot on with regards to them hand picking the people/individuals they want to interact with. And they already know before you even step into there domain if your someone worthy of that or not. If your going in guns blazing forget it. But if your mind is open to things we don't fully understand. Yet you have a curiosity for knowing more and are open minded to that. Then your outcome may be far more positive. It was a very enlightening explanation of his experiences and how to deal with these creatures/beings. I think for the most part they just want to be left alone. And we should just allow them that much. Considering we have just about taken over everything else as far as building/real estate is concerned.

More humans than people realize? Interesting statement. Just like chimpanzees and gorillas seem human to us. How is it that we share 97% of DNA with chimpanzees? Those are just the building blocks. That means we use 97% of the same Legos but we build them in a different configuration. What is the 3% that makes the difference is what really seems to be what matters. What is the 3% that makes us different from the chimpanzee?Maybe these DNA studies will be able to shed light on it if we interview the scientist involved… But we must understand everything in order to make a logical conclusion.

I grew up with an Aboriginal friend, he told me that , big foot , or YOWIE's as they name them in Australia, can shift Dimensions. When they are in our 3rd Dimension, they are still 10 percent in their dimension. When they are in their dimension they are still 10 present in ours . My friend and I were sitting on his front porch one day , and we're lucky enough to see a Yowie running along the side of a hill Infront of the house . He took about 10 strides and just vanished . We were amazed at what we saw. We went to the spot we saw it the next day And we saw the long grass trampled underfoot . The stride length was 11 feet between strides . My friend got pictures of the foot prints . My friend told me that what we saw was a blue Eye . There are many types of Yowie , a red Eye and a blue Eye look similar, but the difference between them is , the red Eye will kill you, the blue Eye will help or even save you from danger .

Intelligent, well spoken, but humble and down to earth (I can think of one interviewee who seemed pretty intelligent and wanted to make sure you knew it). His experiences confirm what my one single experience showed me, namely that these beings are *highly* intelligent and masters of nature. At least those out west. I have always believed that the investigators who chase the Sasquatch people, who attempt to trick them, and who think of them as a quarry to be hunted, are missing the obvious point: that to most modern humans the Sasquatch people are a curiosity, a mystery to be solved; but to the Sasquatch, their secrecy and privacy are a matter of life and death. When we try to expose them, we are threatening their way of life and their very existence. I am glad that there are still free, wild humans in this world. I hope that they will remain free forever.

We were all cozy in our tent. We heard a knocking, like knocking on trees back and forth between more than one tree. Then we heard this loud, god curdling scream that reverberated around the mountain. It was no human, no animal we've ever heard, especially not that loud! Ive heard others describe the Big Foot scream, i know thats who it was. We were instantly in fear and ran to the car and locked it amd that is where we slept! Hey! Omg im watching as im writing and you just said you heard knocking! 😮

No disrespect intended, but when we had the sightings literally in our kitchen window in Connecticut, causing my sister to scream and start crying, we didn't think of how beautiful it was. After the first sighting, my sister said it grimaced at her, or showed it's teeth. After this my Dad kept a hose turned "on" and placed near the kitchen door. It did come back, again scaring the daylights out of my sister as she washed the dishes. Thinking it was some neighborhood prank, my Father 82nd Airborne Paratrooper, grabbed the hose and sprayed it. To which, it lunged at him. After this he bought a rifle and kept it by the kitchen door that Summer. Although I was young, he showed me where he kept the box of ammo for it, telling me "it's for just in case". The 3rd sighting was by our campfire in nearby protected Watershed Land about 2,000 acres. One of my friends said he saw a monster start coming into the light and started screaming and shaking so bad we had to walk him home. On the other hand, my Mom, the Peacemaker, started leaving fruit and vegetables on a stump in the backyard. We started finding little piles of stones in the back including once near the back door. We've had other experiences including stones being thrown at us at night, the house getting punched breaking the vinyl siding and finding small trees pulled out of the ground and shoved back in the ground upside down with the roots exposed to the air. We wondered "why would anyone ever do that??" Only lately I'm finding out this may be a sign that good is in the area. This was in Connecticut , in southern New England, not Oregon or California or Tibet. To this day as developed as Connecticut is, it still has 60% of the land considered woodlannds.

Thank you. Not one thing is exagerated, in fact, I'm leaving details out. Although these things stay in the back of your memory through life, when my Sister told my daughter's of her experience of seeing a gorilla in the kitchen window, they told me, bringing back a flood of memories.

Absolutely, I didn't include the urination on our tent at night in those woods, or the copying, I mean exact copying of how my Father would call me by whistling, only this time it was mid day and I knew he was a work. Never put all these things together until about 3 years ago. Never even heard of Bigfoot way back then.

You offer a really great perspective on how to keep an open mind and have respect for the unknown, Mr. Skahan. Our ignorance does not call for aggression against anything that we're unfamiliar with. Thanks for the lessons!

I've found the footprints in snow, abt a size 6.5 woman's size, BAREFOOT, near my barn in S.E. Ky. A few years prior, at 3am, one spring morning, was on rear deck w/small dog when I heard what sounded like a VW being dunked in and out of my pond. A moonless fall wee hours of the morning. A few minutes later, I could hear the creature slowly walking past, behind the wooden fence, some 30 feet from me, dripping water from his wet fur onto the dried, fallen leaves on the forest floor. I smelled the wet fur, not a pleasant odor. A memorable night, for sure.

Fantastic video. Thank you for having the courage to share this knowledge with the world. I have had the great fortune in life to have had relationships with indigenous people. I know how difficult it sometimes can be to share your experiences. I salute you for your decision to make this knowledge available to everyone. It may help individuals from unfortunate outcomes. People need to know how to conduct themselves in these circumstances. Much respect. I wish you well on your journey Thank you.❤

It was so refreshing to hear Mr. Skahan's talk of how best to relate to the people of the forest. I'm 68 and have been interested in the Sasquatch people since the Patterson-Gimlin film came out. As a young girl I would spend whole days by myself out in the wooded hills near my Northern California home. I learned how to be quiet and respectful of everything in nature, like my Celtic ancestors did. I really would like to one day experience being near to our Sasquatch cousins, but with respect and humility. Now I occasionly get a glimpse of Mt. Adams from Portlandn and I hope to spend some time in Mt. Adams area forests. I will always remember this video and the kind and good advice you give. Heartfelt thanks.

My brother, this is probably the best story I've ever heard regarding these people. I believe these people can see us spiritually and know what we're made of. They know if we are a good person or not and woe to those who are not. All of the stuff these researchers do does nothing but put them in danger and make them hunted. There are too many bad people in this world with selfish motives. There's so much we don't understand but I think you have a pretty good grasp on it even if you don't understand some things. Love you my brother and your good heart. ✌❤

Talking about just the basic first encounter hearing a vocal that vibrates in the chest without seeing what is making the sound……I think I would have been terrified. I was at a little zoo in Florida and our little family was standing on concrete pathways about 15 feet away from a big male lion exhibit ….we all had our back turned to him so none of us knew it was coming when he let loose with the typical series of roars. He was 440 lbs and laying down with his head up to call…I’m 6’ 2” and his head would have been at my waist while he was lying down! Big boy! Anyway the call vibrated my body and the concrete and I said a few choice words. So I’m trying to imagine this man’s experience while timber cruising….. I saw the lion 15 ft away he was in his enclosure I was safe but it still rattled me for a second. He’s in the open forest and not seeing something that’s vibrating his chest?! NOPE, too much for me. I don’t know what I would have done I mean like I probably would have quit the job. I don’t know
