Mathew Fraser earned the title of Fittest Man on Earth at the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games. The victory was three years in the making, after he took back-to-back second-place finishes in 2014 and 2015. In 2014, Fraser’s debut Games appearance, he earned the Rookie of the Year award for his efforts. Known for his hatred of second place, Fraser was unsatisfied with his consecutive silver finishes, and though he won the worldwide Open in 2015 and swept his region (EAST) with a dominate performance in 2016, it wasn’t until he stood atop the podium at the Games in 2016 that he showed signs of celebration. A former U.S. Olympic Weightlifting team hopeful, with a return from major back surgery in 2011, retired from his weightlifting career and has been a CrossFit athlete since 2012.

    What I love about crossfit is no mirrors to stand there and look at yourself you just go there and workout and do you're job.

    I would love it if people actually posted the non-sexy aspects of their grind. To me, the best part is seeing someone's progression. Too many fake people just posting what they want to and editing it. It's more motivational to see the ups and downs

    Jesus Ortiz c2b stand for chest to bar pull ups. (Pull ups where your chest touches the bar)

    Chest to bar. Top part of the clavicle has to physically touch the bar for it to be considered a "good rep" Don't smash your chest though. Light tap.

    I don't think they're meant to do anything in particular. They seem pretty honest. He trains alone (mostly) and his life revolves around training. Maybe that seems sad to some, but I don't think he seems sad or lonely. He just has a singular drive and lives his life the way he needs to reach his goals.

    what's the point of doing toe-to-bars* if you're gona do them like that?

    These arent leg raises, these are toe-to-bars. Since crossfitters usually do dozens of these (on time) they can not do them strict. As a calisthenics guy I totally see your point though.. I have the same issue with crossfitters kipping the hell out of their "pull up" and "dips"

    I think the general issue is: why sacrificing form for a better time? When I do 200 Push Ups with an arched back and only 30 degree angle it will still kill my shoulders.. but.. why even?

    I would rather do one proper pull up than the swinging Kipping fake pull ups he is doing. I hear Black Eyed Peas are making a new track entitled "where is the form?"

    Dylan Fowler Find a random pull-up bar and do your one pull-up for the day. Now feel amazing about yourself because you pulled your body up over the bar. Now trot home and continue to talk trash on the Internet. You're making it somewhere kid. You're doing it.

    Dylan Fowler Sounds like you lack agility and coordination, so it is probably a good idea if you just do your one pull-up.

    Lol, you're right I do lack agility. But that one pull up is helping me with full range and motion to get my strength. Those fake Mark Mark pull ups are a joke and bad for your health.
