The pictures of fish you called perch are actually crappie. They may out-produce and out-compete your bass and prevent them from reaching full potential size and weight. I recommend adding some shiners or other minnows as supplemental food for the bass.

Just one of the fish he showed pictures of was a crappie. The others were green sunfish.

Looks like a pretty big catfish. That big perch kinda looks like a crappie. If it is crappie is a pretty strong predator.

Howdy Brock! Probably a smart move keeping the little ones separated for a while. Looks like the pond wall upgrade is holding up great! Did it fix the leaking into the neighbors property or isn't it full enough to tell yet? Thanks for sharing 🤠

Brock, that was a crappie not a perch. No wonder it was the biggest "perch" you ever saw. Bill H from Cranberry Township PA

Brock: I tried adding 50 4-inch catfish and 25 4-inch Large Mouth Bass to my pond with existing Crappie and Channel Catfish. As far as I can tell two years later none survived. Pretty much have to start from scratch with no fish present in order for the fingerlings to even have a chance. An expensive mistake on my part. Good luck.

I spent $70 on these fish The catfish were more in the 5-8 inch size and I think they will make it and I’m sure that the carp will

I got a good laugh out of you going in the water after that big cat but you are probably better off by not getting your hands on it, I got stuck by a catfish fin once and it was pretty painful plus it took forever for it to heal. Time to invest in a dip net

The only grass carp that are sold are sterile, so they won’t breed. Although, I didn’t know they got so big

@@RockhillfarmYT Those carp will be nearing 5 lbs. this time next year. I have 5 carp in a 1/2 acre pond. I thought the ones I put in back in 2004 were deceased. One was dead on the bank spring of 2021. I assumed they both were dead. I put in 4 / 10-inch ones in October of 2021. They are pushing 10 pounds now. And the one from 2004 I thought had died. Nope alive and as soon as I catch him. I`m going to put a saddle on him a take a ride. He has to be 20 lbs at least. And near 3 foot long.
