Portia is the main female character in Shakespeare’s Merchant of Venice. She disguises herself as a male lawyer and defends the protagonist in the climatic courtroom scene. In British culture, in reality and fiction, it was common to give any female lawyer (which was rare for that time period) the nickname of Portia.

Fact... this movie killed a person, During the initial run of the film, a Danish audiologist named Ole Bentzen died while laughing during a screening, which led newspapers to report that he had died from laughter. They named their daughter Portia after a character in Shakespeare's "The Merchant Of Venice". At one point in the play she must act as a lawyer. Jamie Lee Curtis looks perfect because she had great looking parents. And don't feel weird about wanting to look like a young Jamie Lee Curtis - Jamie Lee Curtis would probably want to look like a young Jamie Lee Curtis. The scene where the family accidentally walks in on Cleese while he's naked illustrates one of his basic precepts of comedy: that while it can be funny to watch someone behaving foolishly, it's even funnier to watch someone who's watching someone behaving foolishly.

As a matter of fact, John Cleese father Reginald Cheese changed his name before entering WW1. John Cleese later said in his Autobiography that he wished to go back to his original sur name because all of his close friends call him Jack and to him Jack Cheese is a great name for a comedian and a great reason to live in Monetary.
