I feel highway’s are still safer for learners as compared to city roads full of traffic. Further l don’t understand what can a pillion with a license do.

A pillion is required but always with a pillion is not possible. There should be a system like for the 1st month with pillion and from the 2nd month without pillion

Indian System always sucks...

All these sort of restrictions while learning are the reason why riders may not get proper riding experience and training. If RTO's are so concerned about road safety due to learners, then first fix the driving license issuing process. Any knowledgeable person knows in what way DLs are issued in India and how much is the cost.

As far as I read in Delhi RTO site, a learner license holder can only drive vehicle in an empty area with little to no traffic or designated driving learning area or with a driving school In all cases a permanent license holder should be there at the time with the learner during the riding/driving of the vehicle

Sorry to say the law says if you are driving a car with learners license 1 person with permanent DL has to sit as a co driver. In case of a 2 wheeler you cannot alow a pillion. The reason is 2 wheelers need to be balanced. A car is self balancing.

I dunno highway has special rules for riders with LL.

Some traffic inspectors are very corrupt. The last time I turn left after the green light but there is a state arrow or right arrow. They said you did a wrong turn and it's caused your license to be canceled. As i forgot to turn left before ligth. But I am afraid of canceling my license (as it's new) I pay 500 bribe. In that case what can I do? I don't think it's a big issue because turning left is not a wrong turn ..

Initially, I drove two wheeler with LL for 3 months, and I used to drive alone. I think carrying another person is more difficult for two wheeler, and therefore avoided it.

When you are new rider make sure 1) you have learner licence which has validity 2) you are accompanied with a driving licence holder 3) both of you should wear helmets 4)You should have L sign paste on front and back of your vehicle 5) mandatory documents like insurance, RC and pollution. 6) wear shoes 7)dont remove the mirrors and silencer for show off .. its a punishable offence.
