in the Philippines we have a famous summer heat quincher called "Buco Pandan" , a combination of Coconut juice and fruit and pandan extract.

Lol love it, "usually my tea"

I'm Malaysian & I really love it. I have bushes of pandan in 4 big pots at my house. I make Malaysian dessert with them 😍😍😍

The leaves, roots and stems are used for treating Diabetes and high blood pressure, just boil as the tea

John Whitepeanuts Yes, you can grow in Southern California. Pandan plant can grow indoor as houseplant. But also can be outdoor. It grows better in the shade, you must bring it indoor once the temperature is below 60 degree. Magnolia Garden Nursery in Anaheim sells Pandan plants. They are expensive plants and hard to find. $20-25 for a small plant.
