First briefly used a Hasselblad 500C borrowed around 1970. I concluded then that it was a camera designed for professional use in a studio, and not particularly suited for my outdoor, landscape photography. It's boxy shape and lack of any weather seals, added to its price, which exceeded my means at the time, made it a non-option. A problem today is that they are long used, often professionally, and it may just be worn out. They have no exceptional build qualities, and several camera repair shops in NYC used to live off Hasselblad maintenance. A major deal killer for me, then and now, is not so much the cost of the body, but the cost of the lenses. They have always been hugely over priced. If you are really into buying one of these, hold up for a bit and see if you can find a nice Rollei SL66E. This may be the most perfectly designed and built medium format camera in this style - not cheap, but not more than the Hassy.

Great video! Kinda short and personal, I like it! Nothing wrong with the C at all; just look at what people back then could do with that camera. And I do love the 80mm C lens. Way more "character" than the later CF/CFi models (my opinion).

@@anybodyshoots I kinda want the newer or newest version but then again, no money, and this one is minty. I think made in 1971 or so? I will check. It is in its original box. And he would give me a prism too.
