End of an era. Nearly everyone I met from Volition was shockingly chill, understanding, and were super talented at what they did. Obviously I had my gripes about things, but it's because I held them in such high regard and was passionate for the things they brought to life. Some really cool stuff came from that studio. Really sad that it's ending like this.

You and Mr Saints should do a co-op play through of SR 1 and 2. There is a lot of new objectives and different variations of story missions that are activated only when playing in co-op, some people don’t know about them. For example in the mission where you bust Gat out of court, normally you only have to escort Gat, but in co-op Legal Lee tags along too.

I don’t either. They had 10 years to shine and didn’t take the opportunity. They either released a shitty 3rd person overwatch clone or made a game so bad it killed their not only their franchise, but company as well. All they had to do was LISTEN to the fans and give them a gangster game. I remember how hyped people were seeing the graffiti thinking it was finally gonna be a return to form but nope. Hell remastering the first two games would’ve done hell of a lot more for them than making this piece of crap.

@@crow_ryder They couldn't remaster the first two. The original dev code of SR 1 and maybe SR 2 is long lost, remastering would end up similar to the GTA Remasters. But just a full remake of 1&2, maybe rewriting a little bit like Hangar 13 did with Mafia 1, H13 was near its deathbed too but this remake gave them a bit air to breathe, was an save bet and show what they can, made an possible Mafia 4 realistic. Literally this was what SR and Volition needed but nope, they bet everything on one single card and paid the high price for it

if the people of Volition were watching this and reading the comments down below, I'd like to thank them for making one of the best open world crime games ever made. Saints Row 2 and the city of Stilwater is a place I could never get bored in, And so as the original Red Faction on the PS2. Such great memories.

RIP Violition. Sr3 may have been my intro to the series via games with gold. But I've grown a major appreciation for SR2. Also. We all lift together from Warframe is the perfect fit.

I don't care what anyone says: Saints Row The Third is one of the best games Volition ever made. It was utterly fantastic, and I loved it so much. It wasn't a perfect game, but it was so funny, so unique, and so much fun to play.

As an og saints row fan I liked all the 4 saint row games(Reboot doesnt exist for me) Saints row 2 is peak and saint row 3 was a decent game, it wasn't what most of us wanted but it was enjoyable,though I didn't like how a couple of missions where just activities put into main quests,I also disliked how drastically they changed shaundi, I found her personality annoying in 3 and 4,Kinzie is my favorite female saint she is snarky and not afraid to stand up the boss and he respects her(Her being a redhead is a plus)and I do wish Saints row 4 could have been better and not just some stupid matrix sim,Blowing up the earth basically killed the game and the franchise which was already on the brink of death,The craziest thing is the ending is them using a time machine,voiliton could have used this to redo all their wrongs and make a better Saints Row 5 but then we got the reboot.I have no doubt maybe some better company will pick up the IP and revive the game to its former glory but thats a huge IF.

Goodbye volition. You deserved a better fate old friendo. If only the reboot was good friend, maybe you would have been loved again. RIP volition 1993 - 2023 (idk when volition started but all i know is that They are gone now 😢 Both deserved and not so deserved

It's upsetting to see volition go, I started off back with saints row 1 and played every title in order. SR1 and SR2 being my absolute favourites and one of my first ever games for my xbox 360

It’s so sad to see their fall from grace. Even if it was coming, it makes me sad.

Volition had such amazing talent, So much history and memories made throughout the people who worked there and the fans over the many years. Thank you for the hard work and dedication to making fun and innovative games. You may be gone now but we will never forget.

Saints Row had such a huge influence on my life, its a shame that it's going away now, just makes me really sad that the studio has to close

Certainly been a long run.. whilst I am sad to see one of my favorite Game Companies shut down, this was inevitable after the newest Saints Row. It was thanks to volition that I made new friends in Saints Row 2, they gave me the most memorable gaming moments of my life. Their games made us laugh, cry, angry.. and that’s how you know they did good with their games in the past. I pray for the workers of Volition that they can get back on their feet, sooner than later. Thanks for this video MrSaintsGodzilla, it feels like an appropriate goodbye to a good company. While Volition may be gone, the world of our favorite Saints Row games will keep on spinning. I started with Red Faction on the PS2, then Saints Row. I still play RF1 and 2 and the earlier Saints. They will hold a special place in my childhood. It's been a strange ride, but I hope the crew are able to continue with minimal problems.

As a Illinois native I really looked forward to trying out for the Volition team seeing how they weren't that far and I've always been a fan. I haven't played the reboot, I have no plans too either. But it was pretty sad seeing the empty studio at the end. I appreciate all the fun and memories Volition brought me as a kiddo. Saints Row 1 / 2 are memories I will never forget. So sad to see them close.

i remember getting into saints row the same year it was released when i was 6 thanks to my brother managed to play all of the main games (except for the reboot and AoM) and made my childhood and older years just that bit more fun i still play and enjoy them very much to this day. i just hope the sr2 patch still gets released RIP volition

A studio thats talented as ever but was ruthlessly and sadly plagued with very difficult decisions, even then tho, I really feel that they could've done better, ultimately they did what they could. RIP TO IDOL NINJA, RIP TO VOILITION. May the higher ups do the right thing.🙏🙌

This was one of the first games I played on the Xbox 360 that my dad bought years ago. I'd go downstairs in an attempt to play it when i wasn't allowed to due to my age. It was the first "mature" game i genuinely played and it fueled my ever-lasting love for crime-based video games. It was sad seeing the series get destroyed the way it was; but just like carlos, maybe it was its time to go. You will be missed Volition. Thanks for making all of our lives fantastic over the years.

No matter anything else it’s sad this company is gone now. Red Faction was my introduction to Volition and I used to play the split screen bot mode with my brother for hours on end. Saints Row 2 was my next step to their games and I sank so many endless hours in that amazing game. I wish they had been able to recapture their roots.

i never knew that volition had shut down from that day until now, i enjoyed their saints row games like theirs no tomorrow and i sometimes play them to remind myself of the countless hours of fun i had playing them, the mods on these games were a huge joy, doing co-op with others, even messing around with cheats and murdering npcs, its sad to see such a beloved gaming company go like this, i just hope that the saints row community will never fall apart and continue to thrive for many years to come, rest in peace volition, may we all miss you for eternity

As someone who played saints row 2 and 3 in his childhood. I must say thank you. I never forgot you. And I'm very sad 😔 I lived by saints row series.

I remember back in 2012 when i was 6 i was watching my cousin play the third and he had stuck a grenade inside a brutes mouth and i had asked to give it a try and it was the funnest experience in my entire life and i was shocked to later find out there were other saints row games to play , ever since then i’ve been in love with the series and even though the recent games haven’t been amazing i still enjoy going back to the originals every once in a while just to fuck shit up. After all these years of playing im proud to say this is definitely my favorite game series and it saddens me to see where it ended up going. But hey, it was fun while it lasted. Thank you Volition for all the years of fun and Mayhem.

RIP Volition, You gave us the Saints Row franchise, Red Fraction and many more. You were a family both in the studio and to us as a community. Saints Row was more than a game franchise, it was and still is a community. A community as strong as the Saints themselves. Weather you loved the later games or hated them, you can not deny that there was something for almost everyone. Old and new fans alike. Saints Row The Third was there for me when I needed a vice to escape from some stuff going on in my life at the time. It was the right kind of fun that I needed and I remember going back to Saints Row 2 and 1 after completing 3 and 4 at that time. Basically replayed the entire series once again. Posting art and lore of my bosses, making friends in the community. It was one thing that made the Saints community so fun and welcoming to be in and I will never forget that. It's one of the reasons Saint is in my username, I chose to add that back when I was changing to a new username as it was and still is something I hold close to my heart. Thank you for all the fond memories, and the love and dedication you put into your games. Weather people agreed with your decisions and directions or not, you guys still put time and effort into what you probably thought was the right direction and if you didn't, no doubt business decisions out of your control probably took a part in that.

RIP I remember falling in love with Saints Row in 2012 after watching my cousin play The Third. I asked my dad for it and he got me Saints Row 2. I remember being a lil disappointed at first but then I fell in love with it and as I look back to this very day I'm grateful he bought it for me, super nostalgic. I finally got Saints Row The Third a couple years after that and it was cool but when the Saints Row 4 trailers came out, I was like YOO this is crazy😂 I didn't get that one until late 2016 but I still play it now and it's still my favorite Saints Row out of all of them despite the popular opinion. After the reboot, I am fully numb to any bad news regarding the fate of the companies behind it.

Volition is honestly one of the most underrated developers of all time. Even with some bumps in the road, they were creative and innovative with the games they developed and weren't afraid to take risks with their games, regardless on how some of them ended up in execution. It may not be perfect, but with them being around for 30 years, which in itself is a huge accomplishment, they made some of the best games ever made. I hope that everyone at Volition are able to find new jobs quickly and continue their legacy with other studios. There is always a brighter future, and a better life. o7

Regardless of the reboot, The Punisher was the first Volition game I played. Saints Row demo was what got me into them and Red Faction. R.I.P. Rainbow gas blasting Unicorns and Cabbits.

To give them the benefit of the doubt, I don't think they were trying to spit on his legacy. They were unfortunately busy with that horrid reboot so they didn't have the time and resources sadly to work full time on it after Mike's passing. They most likely started working on the patch again after the last update for Saints Row 2022 but Embracer being the massive shits that they are shut down Volition before they even had the chance to work on it.

Really hard to play SR4 when it just doesn't feel like the end, though. Leaving them on a simulated planet, I was hoping they'd make another where Kinzie finds the earth is actually still in tact.

It still breaks my heart that they're gone. Then again,they had no right to stay on after how wrong they were. A lot of people hated saints row 2022 but I liked it. And I still play it. If someone else takes control of saints row,i think they should bring back the first game for PlayStation, but CORRECTLY,with improvements. Not another copy of what would basically just be another saints row 2022.
