Updating past watches can be a good thing.

I went to have a look at it at the Zenith AD - it looks amazing in photos, I love the dial and the indices. Sadly, it's a bit underwhelming in-person - the red is very subdued, and it feels very small and chintzy for a £5K watch. I was very disappointed.

One of the best releases of recent years. And there are a blue and a brown one.

I hope to purchase a Zenith watch one day but it has to be an El Primero Chrono.

The Bulova jet star is living rent free in this comments section.

Agree. I am looking at future purchases of a Grand Seiko GMT, Doxa 300T Clive Cussler model and Omega Seamaster 300 Diver in blue. Purchased eight watches from Teddy's Customer Service team who are outstanding!

Get your facts straight commenters. The Zenith was out before the Bulova, Bulova copied Zenith.

Teddy, one of the things i really dig about your channel is you're not afraid to discuss a polarizing, love-it/hate-it watch. I do appreciate the fact that Zenith is willing to take a risk. I'm not above taking a quirky faction leap, just not at this price point.

Now this is interesting - so different! However why do watch manufacturers often use the same name for some of their watches or line of watches that sometimes don't even appear similar? Lack of imagination or cynical product association benifits? Zenith Defy, Tudor Black Bay and Omega Seamaster and Constellation are just some.

Nice but very niche to spend that kind of money on. I’d go for a Jet Star to get 90% of the look for one tenth of the price.

Watchmakers are lazy just overpricing "heritage". In 2023 is not too much to expect from a 7000$ watch quck release springbars, on the go clasp ajustment and color matched date dial. Every other industry experienced a revolution in precise mass metal mashining, only watch industry managed to keep the same technology but make it more expensive.

You can buy a watch for a couple of dollars. Luxury watches are overpriced. That’s why they are luxury.

Really? Are they? I can go buy a Casio for 30 bucks. You get what you pay for, do you expect this to cost $1000? You couldn’t even pay for the labor required to make this for $1000. It’s a luxury product, did you expect a Casio price tag?

Very bad bracelet and clasp, not imagined to encounter something like that in this price category.🤯

Actually, they are great. They are true to the vintage, they are beautiful and very comfortable. As for value, much as I love Zenith at their best, they are a great opportunity pre owned. Of you buy by spec, no it's not for you, but they are awesome.
