Thanks for the info Chunky C. I just maiden my Eflight 70mm viper. Flew really nice but at the 2 or 3rd past I was getting RSSI critical low. Got scared and brought it in. Will turn off the alarms and God willing head out tomorrow.

Hey Brother, thank you for the info. I just got my Radio master and went out for my maiden flight. The entire time I had critical rf alarms going. Hard enough not tanking my new plane let alone with that alarm in my ear! You got me straight!

I stopped using spektrum/ dsmx rx with my tx16. I never got telemetry warnings. Only rf warnings. After losing connection to a plane and crashing it, after trying everything I could find to resolve the issue, I got rid of all my spektrum equipment. Cuz radiomaster themselves couldn't tell me if the rf warning was for telemetry or rssi. Since I was specifically getting loss of rssi I got rid of all dsm rx. Disabling it isn't guaranteed to fix it. You just won't be warned when it loses connection. Which is what happened to me and it wasn't very far away. And that was after disabling the alarm and pretending like it wasn't a problem. Since then only been flying frsky rx and couldn't be happier. Not only are the rx way cheaper but also a lot more capable imo

I use Spektrum rxs on the time with my Radiomaster i also have reverse setup as well using the forward programming

Did you tune the TX16S to the RX? There are a number of videos on how to do it. If it wasn't tuned that could also explain the poor RF link.

I had it tuned but with the new firmware update I didn't see the tune feature. Either they moved it or got rid of it but I have looked through all the menus. I still had problems on the previous firmware even after a tune. If I could find the tuning menu I would love to do it again just to make sure. I'm not the only one who has this problem even after tuning. If you know where the menu is located in the new firmware let me know. Thanx for the input 👍👊

@@ChunkyC_RC OK, I looked at it again and the tuning option appears only for some of the protocols, Spektrum (& Lemon) is not one of them. Apparently their tolerances are good enough the multi-module circuitry does not require the tuning feature, which the Frsky and Flysky do. Sorry for the confusion, another Scooby mystery solved.

BTW, this was on EdgeTX 2.8.

Chris just fly it. Is Edge TX easier to use? I have to watch 200 videos to use any new feature on my Radomaster. I use to always try different props but now I just fly them like they come out of the box unless it’s just horrible. Jeff in LA USA

EdgeTX isn't much easier than OpenTX I'm my opinion. They may have changed the layout a bit and made the UI and menus easier to use but you still need to know how to do other stuff like logical switches, special functions, lua scripts etc.

Hola 👋. Si bien es verdad que hay pérdida de telemetría y no de señal entre radio y receptor pues yo no aconsejaría desactivar las alarmas. Una cosa que podría solucionar este problema es hacerle el ajuste fino de frecuencia a todo receptor que tenga esta opción, ya en la página de Edge TX hay una buena explicación de como hacer esto correctamente y si no sabes si tú receptor tiene esta posibilidad lo puedes consultar en la página de multimodulo. Por otra parte en el caso de los receptores flysky no tienen esta opción y muchas veces al estar en pleno vuelo dan estás mismas alarma y solo basta con cambiar en el momento que se está seleccionando el protocolo la opción PWM/SBUS. What's a VTX? If your drone has a carbon fiber frame, make sure antenna ends are as far away from frame as possible.

Have you range checked when you got the low signal? Maybe it sees the telemetry signal as rssi and thinks it's low. I don't know much about drones and video transmitters.

TX is all "Greek" to me lol

I'm with ya Dutch👍I've always been tech savvy. I've even built my own PC's, but when they update and change the firmware all the time it's a full time hobby to just keep up with it.
