Merci d'avoir chargé cette belle musique. C'est toujours un plaisir d'écouter le gran maître Anton Dvorak.

I have too much slavic blood not to love these pieces... and oh.. the friendship between him and Brahms... and what Dvorak said... The music is played very nicely.. I love in particular #2 of op 72 Thank you sooo much Ria publishing this!

What's really interesting is that if you listen to A LOT od music, you suddenly find similarities there, where you would not expect. Take, for example Dvorak - Slavonic Dance in F Major, Op. 72 no 3, Skočná, and The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony. The main melody really resembles Dvorak.

Thank you very much for this upload, I love Dvorak's dances with their frequent alternation of major and minor keys! Memorable works!

I wake up to one or another of the Slavonic Dances most mornings. A wonderful way to start the day. I love the swapping back and forth between major and minor, too. In fact, Dvorak frequently repeats phrases, but usually he says more about the phrase the second time around: a different section of the orchestra, an embellishment with different instruments behind the main theme, etc. The more I pay attention, the more I get out of it. Beautiful!

My personal favorite is Op. 46, No. 2. I think Kubelik takes it just a bit too fast (it has to contrast with Nos. 1 and 3), but it's still a lovely performance. Op. 72, No. 2, is very beautiful too.
